didn't submit it cause my model (wife) didn't like the expression
outtake: submitted:
the idea was to have her being poured out of the bottle, but it didn't quite come out the way i envisioned it. next time (which will be soon) i'll do the shot differently!

This is what real Pepto "splashes" like from 3 feet above:
Kind of neat effect, but wasn't quite the splash I was looking for, so I used strawberry milk mixed to Pepto color. |

This was my submission, did ok.
This was my out-take which I decided was a bit flash, and I didn't care for the green bits, comments welcome.

Submission.
I think I made the right decision.

I especially had trouble deciding between this one, and the one I did enter. Actually, I went against the advice of friends who preferred this. I liked the effect of the bloom being lit from the inside though. Plus this seemed overexposed.
I also liked this one, but not as much.

Telehubbie: Personally, I like the effect. It's different from the usual splash images.
orussell: Both shots are great. Congrats on the top 10 finish.
turquoise919: Tulip 3 is gorgeous. |

Had a couple.
First one was what I wanted to use, but would have never been believed as being real - no hue shift job on it either!
(And yeah, the border didn't work either)

I had SUCH a great time shooting Ladykiller! with my son André. He seemed to enjoy the "torture" as well. He's such a ham!
These are the outtakes I didn't use:

OutTake
I had only one other image besides my entry. I didn't use this because it isn't all pink and I thought it might not do well with the literalists.
Entered this one instead.
Like Kylie, I think flowers are one of my favorites to photograph. Lots and lots of good flower shots got 10's from me! |
