Aren't you within spitting distance of Rhode Island? No takers on that one yet.

I don't live in Idaho, but I spend a lot of time there. I'm happy to do Idaho, too, as well as join others in doing Utah.

Albany, NY to Providence, RI straight line distance is 133 miles. Very spittable indeed. Of course, native Islanders should have first crack ... again, I'd like to be in on an "as needed" basis. Good lookin' out Shannon :)

You've been added to New Jersey! Thanks a lot and happy shooting!

Okay, everyone, we are down to our last SIX states!

We have 44/50 states represented so far --- we're almost there. The states that have not been filled include the folowing SIX:

Iowa

Mississippi
Nebraska
Nevada
North Dakota
South Dakota

If you know anyone that resides in these states, get 'em here! Also, if we have overlooked a state feel free to correct us and let us know. We are so close to our goal so go out there and get that person from North Dakota or wherever. Thanks for everyone who has participated so far!

Once we have all fifty states represented, we will let you all know and then we will subsequently post all of the specifics and details of the challenge.

Thanks again,
Lee and Clara

I have about 3000 shots from my cruise to Alaska, if one of those will work....

I thought that by general consensus of everybody on this site you supposed to be sent (one way) to Hawaii w/o batteries. :)

I'm not from the US (I have actually never been within 500 miles of the US) but I suppose that a International Coll. project will happen soon here anyway.

darn, PA and NJ are taken :(

Jeremy -- sign up for PA anyway... multiple photographers per state are permitted and/or they may ask you to shoot a landmark!

Lee/Clara -- I should be in parentheses for Delaware. Since I am a resident of PA I will defer to any Delaware residents for that state.

Ok, I've done that for you. And as for multiple photographers...We have previously posted that we will be taking submissions from each photographer that shows up so that we can include everyone that we can in the project. Clara and myself will decide which image best fits the motto/slogan of the state represented. The other images may be then used as border images, etc.

You are almost there :) I have discovered that collecting 50 states is a challenge in itself :)

I have 28 states so far on the flags project. I'm getting a lot of photogs from other places than DPC. I think i'm gonna have to go hunt for photographers from some states.

Sign me up as an alternate from Maine. My family lives there and I used to. I am sure I will be up there in the next 6 months - but I defere to a current resident as well. As long as they say "or" not "er." ;)

I've got you down as an alternate for Maine. However, since Maine happens to be one of the states that we still have not gotten a photographer for, you may be asked to submit a photo for it. Thanks for signing up and happy shooting.

Hmmmm, there's got to be at least a couple more folks from Georgia that would be great for this project. Come on Peaches!! :-)

Can you post a list of the states and the photographers assigned to them? Just curiosity on my part.

Does that mean you're throwing your hat in the ring, Larry? :-) I just signed up as a backup in case nobody else from Georgia signed up, as I'm already working on the alphabet project. I hope that doesn't deter others from signing up.
