Just wanted to let you all know that we have not given up just yet. We are still missing five states and we hope you can either sign up or find someone to do so. The states are the following...

Iowa
Mississippi
Nebraska
North Dakota
South Dakota

So sign up! Once we have all fifty states we will start providing you with the information that you will need...
We can't start unless we have all of our spots filled!

Happy shooting,
Lee and Busy Clara

I'm more than happy to share as I still have no ideas. (I know, we have a long way to go yet). :)

Tranquil,

Sure I'll do both states if you need me to. I just didn't want to be a hog (No ARK Pun intended).

Right now, we would need someone in both states as only you are assigned to Arkansas. However, I will put you down as an alternate for Mississippi and if someone else signs up for that state (or for Arkansas for that matter), then they will be the "official" photographer for that state. Please let us know if you will definitely be able to do both as this will be a project that extends many months and if you have the time to visit both states, that would be great.

Thanks for replying,
Lee

As of 12/6/04...
Okay, everyone... Now we are down to our last FIVE states![/b]

We have 45/50 states represented so far --- we're almost there. The states that have not been filled include the folowing FIVE:

Iowa
Mississippi
Nebraska
North Dakota
South Dakota

If you know anyone that resides in these states, get 'em here! Also, if we have overlooked a state feel free to correct us and let us know. We are so close to our goal so go out there and get that person from North Dakota or wherever. Thanks for everyone who has participated so far!

Once we have all fifty states represented, we will let you all know and then we will subsequently post all of the specifics and details of the challenge.

Thanks again,
Lee and Clara

And what are the odds, out of all the DPC members from all over the world, that there would be THREE shots of the Big Chicken in the Landmarks challenge? It's not as if there's nothing else in town to shoot.

Maybe we should just pick one of those three and use that for this project. Wisdom. Justice. Moderation. The Big Chicken. Yeah, that works.

LOL! Yeah, but you know what's even crazier? The big chicken NEVER popped into my head as a famous Atlanta landmark, Duh!!!

Well, looks like there are at least three of us.

Just checked out the landmark challenge and now I know what you're talking about. Pretty funny stuff! :-)

Does that mean you're throwing your hat in the ring, Larry? :-) I just signed up as a backup in case nobody else from Georgia signed up, as I'm already working on the alphabet project. I hope that doesn't deter others from signing up.

I've got you down as an alternate for Maine. However, since Maine happens to be one of the states that we still have not gotten a photographer for, you may be asked to submit a photo for it. Thanks for signing up and happy shooting.

Six states to go,

You are almost there :) I have discovered that collecting 50 states is a challenge in itself :)

Yep... tell me about it!

I have 28 states so far on the flags project. I'm getting a lot of photogs from other places than DPC. I think i'm gonna have to go hunt for photographers from some states.
