I'm just glad it says 'pencil' and 'a pencil' instead of the plural. I would hate to get pounded for using more than one pencil in my photo :)

Just a dumb question from someone new to the site... I would swear that a couple hours ago there were 166 total new images, and now there's 167. I'm just wondering how the extra image got in after the deadline... or if maybe I should cut the dose of my medication? |

If you read carefully, you might just get pounded for more than 1 pencil in the shot. Depends on how literal folks decide to be...

A submission was DQ'ed because the image file was corrupt (wouldn't display). The photographer provided a corrected version and the photo was reinstated.
In the future, everyone, please take a moment to make sure your image displays properly after you submit! If you have problems please resolve them or ask for help BEFORE the submission deadline.

This is one challenge where I really wish we could see what others are submitting during the submission process. I have this massive fear of doing a shot that 20 other people have already done... *grin*

Okay, if you promise not to copy me, I'll let you into a secret about my entry.
It contains a pencil.

I think i should warn you that there will likely be a pencil in mine too... I'm not gonna try to assert the feeling of a pencil or, in some abstract way, suggest a pencil. There will be a pencil... or pencils :)

Hmm, an interesting idea - perhaps I should submit a picture of where a pencil has been - perhaps its aura might still remain, maybe even having left a line behind...?

Remember, sometimes simple subjects require a simple shot.
And remember to have fun :o) |

I have a pencil in mine too *grin* but I don't think that many other people are going to do the same thing. (that's probably what the other 19 people that did the same thing are thinking too). My suggestion would be to include something that no one else has access to. Of course, I'm going around thinking "boy, I bet a pencil would look really cool there." By the way, did anyone see the Sponge Bob Square Pants yesterday?? I thought it strange that the entire cartoon was about get this...A PENCIL! I was tempted to take pictures. lol. (actually, I may have taken 1 or 2, but shhhh don't tell anyone). NO sponge bob square pants is NOT In my photo. :) ~Heather~ |

Gosh darn it. I have a germ of an idea and no digital camera! I think it would be a little different and cool too.
Any Brit photographers who want a sounding board and to talk about ideas? PM me. |
