I wish I had been able to play in this thread -- I hope it goes on for awhile yet! Getting ready for my first show, so I'm in panic mode. But it's finally getting warm enough to get some interesting bugs |

Wow. Very windy outside here today. Makes it challenging for sure! :-} Don't get me started on the pollen in the air - daggum!
Anyway, here's a capture from tonight after getting home from work. There's a very small surprise in this one.

Had a couple of guesses on what this is ... they are wooden pegs / basically fancy little dowel rods used for joining two pieces of wood together. The grooves hold glue better. |

This looks nicely sharp in PSE, but DPC is making it bigger and it's pixelating. Hmm. It's tough to get the sharpening right on such thin strands.

AFAIK that should not be happening -- making a bigger image smaller yes, but not enlarging a small picture. |

It's physically larger on the DPC screen than the PSE screen. Same number of pixels, obviously. Looks OK on my phone. |

I have to scroll to see the whole image on DPC. Usually an image opens big and then resizes to fit on my screen, but it's not resizing. Just tried it looking at a challenge entry; same thing. |

I opened a ticket. Something's weird. (Could of course be me.) |

Back to macros (even if they do look funny to me right now):
I promise not to tell anyone their image looks soft while I'm experiencing this display weirdness! |

I've been having the same problem. Photos in voting resize to fit on my screen, but not the rest.

Mary - You can ignore the challenge end date ALL you want. :-D
I only put that up as a suggested cutoff and anyone is welcome to peruse, add, comment, and so on for as long as this thread exists. Personally, I have a hard time focusing (no pun intended) on a side bar subject for more than a couple weeks. So, I'll wait a couple weeks and then we'll start something else.
Actually, I do have some thoughts I want to post up in here about observations, what I learned, and some outstanding questions. Bed time now. More tomorrow. :-) |

Played around with some Macro Tubes tonight... This was the best of the set. Really enjoyed and inspired by the photos in this thread.
