5.7 ish and slowly dropping. Don't really want to have too much popular appeal in this kind of challenge.

Don't forget to baghead your comments and to comment a lot so the jury comments will be indistinguishable from the others. Don't want to get anyone's hopes up on a personal favorite :)

haha i remember how i voted when i first joined more on technical ability then the actual picture, all those years ago 9 votes i was at 6.54

20 votes I'm at 4.89 thats a fair swing hahaha

but I've enjoyed being out today with my camera and shooting what i wanted not what i thought doc voters want :)

Better than expected now. I anticipated midrange on the mass-appeal meter, so not sure it has the ability to stay here.

Maybe it's not your work which is 'not artistic' but the voters who do not like voting on a bunch of artistic comps. Maybe you just succeeded too well.

FWIW - The top image the past three years for this challenge has been in color.

well, i picked an image that i thought was horrendous, because "art"....
figured i might get a comment or two, maybe resonate with someone, maybe not.
but, the score is Above where i was expecting!! ;)

I remember that in the 2011 challenge first and third place were in color
and the second place although B&W was a very sharp image
