Welcome to this week's "Member of the Week" post. Every week I will post the name of a member and a link to their profile. This will be our Member of the Week. Go have a look at their profile page and/or portfolio. Enjoy their photos, leave some comments and most of all post one or two of their photos in this thread so others can see them and enjoy them. If you like you can also write a little blurb saying why you enjoy this member's photos.
This week's Member of the Week is 2mccs. And here are a couple of her photos.

One of the best photographers on the site, in my opinion. Marla doesn't so much as take pictures; she "feels" them and then somehow breathes life across inanimate digits to give us her rendition of a photograph. There's a good deal of magic in there somewhere.
Her latest drive-by shootings are an excellent example. Most of us try to do this and we get garbage. Marla gets stuff like this:
She has the ability to capture silence in all of its grace:
And my favorite skill - the ability to see things that others may miss:
If you have not noticed her work before, please do take a look through her portfolio!

And a fellow Foveon (Sigma) user -- the best kept secret in digital photography.
Of course I love this:

Sound, made visible. More than that: made palpable.
Just perfect. |

I remember my enthusiasm when seeing this image:
What an image! Just at the limit between photography and painting. And very much like a Bonnard painting.
...you made a wonderful tale of a dog that stands out.
Same processing with a different subject would be too much of a hybrid. You stopped here at a great point. |

I don't know where to begin with Marla. Just go to her profile page, it's all there. I'd rather you choose where to begin, than pick something for you. |
