Hey, great concept. An enjoyable interpretation of the mythology.

Looking at this photo is like reading your title without knowing Latin. This is my only ribbon in the sound challenge. Posthumous Blue Ribbon.

Not really getting any sense of sound from this, sorry. Obviously the title alludes to the islands in Greek Mythology from which Siren's lured sailors to their deaths, but without the title, I don't get any sense of sound. I quite like the image as an abstract, but the link to the challenge is too tenuous for me to perceive. Therefore I will be knocking a couple of points of for my perception that this DNMC.

Cream's "Tales of Brave Ulysses" is one of their best, and this of course takes me there. So big points for that.

More importantly, it's an image that really does imply sound in a visual way; there is a distinct sense of tonal vibration and of the visible formation of a penetrating note or a chord. It might even be the opening bar or two of "Brave Ulysses" now that I look at it more closely. And most of all, it's just so interesting and absorbing to look at (amazing how many people completely forget that part!)

Thanks for a thoughtful and stimulating photograph. This is my top pick.

This one is just too avant guard for me to even attempt to describe. At first it seemed a smoking blur gun. Then I thought hey a sound wave that has a technical jargon attached. Still photo shapes very interesting but costly for points towards a sounding goal.

This is an interesting abstract, however, I'm having trouble relating it to "sound."

I like the shot, I like your idea to use Sirenum scopuli, but the image is too abstract to ask for the connection 6

This is so delicately beautiful. I love it on its own, but it doesn't convey sound to me. Although it certainly teases my imagination to try.

Wow - even after looking the title up on Dogpile, it's still obscure (although, now I get it - maybe.) The image itself is just confusing me to me (and really noisy.) I look forward to the end of Voting to read other comments along with yours.
