Been attempting red flower petals, again. Tough to shoot, with this camera I have to shoot in the shade or late afternoon raking light. Been reading up on IR, which it turns out flowers emit IR, that's how the bees see them, in IR. Turns out red is the color of reflected light closest to the (emitted) IR. So a red flower gives me emitted and reflected light. So, the camera probably has an IR filter built in, to control noise. Don't know how the Sony A55 deals with IR, due to it's semi-transparent mirror. I know it can't focus in the dark. So, now I want an IR filter. And another camera! "D
White flower petals are easier.

Week 24
Female musical quartett playing in Reykjavik's City Hall as part of the festivities on June 17th, Iceland's Independence Day.
June 17th celebrates Iceland's independance in 1944 and is also the birthday of Jón Sigurðsson, Iceland's biggest independance hero. This year marks his 200th birthday.
