Experimenting with "miniature" effect tonight. There's a meteor shower going on tonight if anyone is interested.

Stage 3: first pass over mountain and sky


Trees will be painted last as their texture needs to be on top of everything.

This meant to be worked on manually after the auto paint step is done. I just haven't got that far yet. I'll be posting updates as I progress with this image.

Jerusalem Sage - one of my favourites and less common than I would expect since it is pretty hard to kill. In Summer these seed heads were full of upward curling creamy yellow flowers - about 20 per head, forming little pompoms. No relation to true sages as far as I know.
