Usually they hop over the fence... We had been out looking for snow pictures and happened on a large herd of deer near the road. We stopped and watched for awhile and they watched us and a few decided to try a new field, so they lined up and all went under the fence.

I don't usually do borders, but experimented with a fade on this one.. may have overdone a bit..

That was my first thought when I saw the image, that perhaps the deer got hurt or were tangled in the barbed wire. Nicely captured.

I'm not much of a fan of borders, but this one works -- maybe because it blends in with the snow. I hardly notice it. Hope the deer didn't get hurt in the barbed wire.

Deer butt!(Reference to typical "Duck Butt" shots. I like it although I could do without the border. :D

Love the fade! It goes well with the scene. This is so gorgeous! Wonderful job on bringing out the details, it seems I can almost feel that fur.

The border suits, with the snow it's very subtle. Love the texture and tones on the fur.

Deer limbo. I like how you applied the border on this one.

The border is just right. It sort of allows the scene to happen and be what it is without having to wonder about the rest of the world outside the frame.
I'm impressed with the overall sharpness of this one. I like deer too.

The minute I saw the thumb I couldn't click fast enough to see the bigger version. I love this. The texture of her fur!!! I have such a thing for deer (and cows and horse). Wonderful moment.

The celebrated Colorado Limbo Deer - it's even better when they set it on fire and go under waving their maracas - nice capture - and I like the border

Great capture. They must be very nimble. The deer that live anywhere near me are on farms, and the fences are very high to keep them in. I guess they have to go close to the ground too - I've never considered that and so never really looked. I like your faded edge and definitely don't think it's too much.

that's a relief .. i thought from the thumb that the deer was caught in the fence and that this might have a very unhappy ending .. the kangaroos around where i live crawl under the fences too .. i wish we had deer running wild .. they are beautiful animals and very photogenic .. its an excellent photograph and process patsy .. :)
