this shot was inspired by jmsetzler's "two tone tonic" and jacko's "primary glass"

here is what my inspiration has resulted in:

the "staggering symmetry":

I think your 'Primary Glass' is hot for a restaurant wall. I am sure there would be peoplr interested in hanging it on the wall.

here is how i achieved extraordinary clearity and no reflections just incase if anyone wonders:

i used 2 home made halogen 500 watt softboxes reflected off of the background at the glass level but behind the glass to avoid reflections. it proved to have plenty light for a good exposure and clean glass and water helped a lot. and photoshop cleared a couple of spots and there it is...

Much simpler, without the hassle of inverted colors!

It's a good one!

it sure does look simple but let me assure you it is a mighty hard task to get the refractions just the way you want especially when you move the glass with it filled water allt he way to the rim...man that is a hassle. i should have only filled it half way and get the refractions just right and than filed it and take the final pic..

just a nit-pick but the glass has more black background on the right then on the left. thought you'd want to know.
