I sadly came after many of those guys, or was a n00b when they were leaving - so I'm useless for this, but Bear is right - if you do have any relationship with these folks, send them a notice. It'd be awesome if we had the old school masters back for a spin at things.

Hopefully not only in this challenge, but in more to come.
It will indeed be a super challenge for those who participate, but also for the others who will not or cannot participate but will have the pleasure to express their votes and hand out their comments.
It will be a difficult challenge for this second group. But I will enjoy it :)

Since some of the "old-timers" are coming back for this challenge, we should remind you, even though the MFS is essentially "open", that for a mere $5 investment, you can also enter the monthly Free Study and Best of 2013.

Frankly, I am very encouraged that the challenge was changed to allow non-paying members to participate. That alone, perhaps ironically, gets me one step closer to believing DPC is worth the modest investment.

When I was more active on the site, it was probably my most visited web page and the challenges took up a great deal of my time. And believe it or not, once I had a ribbon, I was very motivated hoping that I would get another and be invited to a Master's Free Study HAH =]

Thank you kindly for the invitation to enter this challenge :)

I haven't entered a challenge here in a long time and I'm not sure that I can do this one either but it's fun to think about after such a long time. I stay pretty busy these days and I still do a good bit of photography for my personal enjoyment.

I sorta got away from displaying my 'personal' photography in public forums. Not because of any negative response or fear of it... just because I have been keeping it personal :)

There is a lot to learn from a site like this one and I'm glad to see that it's still rumbling ahead full bore! This website taught me how to make great photographs. It also ultimately taught me in a round-about way what it is that I like to photograph and how I like to present it.

Having had the opportunity to admire the creative works of art that you have produced over the years... I cannot for one instant believe that.

You sir were one of those people whose works I truly looked forward to viewing.

Wow, I like the change in who can participate. Thanks Langdon! Looking forward to see all the results.

Last one was in 2008, I was just a newbie. Even the lowest scoring images were made by some famous people here.

Now I just have to find a way to beat all those great photographers, but how? :)
