To understand the true nature of time, listen to jazz.

Good suggestion,
while in images you can watch: "the persistence of memory" of Salvador Dalì

Both can only happen now and in our own perception or consciousness, itâs not possible that they can happen elsewhere because nothing can happen outside of our own perception. Try thinking of something outside of your own consciousness, as soon as something appears, there is consciousness of it so therefore it is in it. The appearance of time is totally dependent on the false assumption of there being a separate entity or individual, a psycho somatic misconception that is responsible for apparent time, space and the story of me. The apparent individual can never see this, why would it, it would be itâs death, it would be the end of seeing absolutely everything through the filter of âwhat can this mean to meâ
No knowing, no meaning, no time, no space, no death, no birth, no me, only the bliss of free fall but for no one.

Not to give anything away but, a lightning strike would be a good example of the nature of time.

The challenge "Glimpse" is like "Nature of Time" in many ways if you think about it.

The alternative to that, and the approach I prefer (speaking for myself here) is to park your logical brain at the door and go all medieval on your stream-of-consciousness, inner self until something bizarre, twisted, and hopefully fabulous works its way into being through your camera :-)

I think Robert has a point here. If you allow yourself to just look at the beauty of nature and go from there it will take you to the place you need to be. Comprende?

Ok -- the nature of time stinks!

I figured it was a 2 week window, since it wasn't a DPL. Abandoned started the 24th. Yeah!!! I had an outtake that was perfect for nature of time that was taken on the 25th!! Whoot!!

It started the 27th.

It's all the nature of time. :(

It would be a much more difficult challenge to capture an image that has no time in it.

That would be 'Timeless'.

Didn't enter but just stepped through. So many are wonderful. Are you sure this was Standard Editing?

It's obvious, after reviewing images and comments, this was an extremely ambiguous challenge. Many differing opinions as to what the meaning of "time" was or is. Those who took an asthetic approach scored the highest. So, it appears the more artistic entries were able to fill the "nature of time" void. I'll have to keep that in mind for the next "vague" challenge topic. Wow them and they'll love it (even if it DNMTC).
