I'd also like to see a Flowers challenge where no actual flowers were allowed... |

		| So, wild flowers? Or are gardens natural enough? (Not many flowers around here at all at the moment as it is winter.) |

		"IN THEIR NATURAL ENVIRONMENT. "

Most garden flowers are cultivated species, so the garden is their only natural environment. I think it means: where the flowers will die of old age, and not of being cut. Potted plants may be frowned upon, who knows..

		| The idea is to show flowers-connected-to-the-environment, as opposed to perfect-blooms-lovingly-arrayed-and-lit-in-the-studio... That's my take on it anyway.... |

Hmm I was wondering about that, I thought how can someone start a thread about a flower challenge when it's so obvious if you photograph a flower in the soil it's going to meet the challenge!

The natural environment of which is a cheesy restaurant? You could shoot for the challenge and have lunch too! ;-) |
