Seing Gordon's request for postcards followed by Setzler's request, I got jeleous. Rather than make a third request, I figured I'd volunteer to organize a postcard exchange. To keep it simple, I will limit this to a maximum of 20 people. Each person interested should PM me their address (all countries welcome) and, once I get them all, will receive an PM with all 20 addresses. Then all you have to do is sent each address a postcard. Well, you don't have to send yourself one, but you get the drift.

The only requirements are:
1) You MUST send out the postcards. No deadbeats.
2) The postcard MUST be of one of your photographs.

I will be sending my postcards out via Amazingmail.com, however, you are free to use any service or method you wish.

So without further ado, whomever is interested, send your address.

EDIT: In case there aren't 20 people interested, I will sent out all the addresses received by Sunday 10:00pm DPC standard time.

I have only received one e-mail so far. Is there only one person interested in this or are you all waiting until Sundayat 9:59 to sign up?

didn't see the other thread hence dont know what this is about, would you be so kind and enlighten me.

Gordon started a thread offering a chance to win one of his print to anyone who sent him a postcard.

Then Setzler started a thread offering to send someone a postcard of one of his photographs to anyone who sent him a postcard of his photograph.

So I am starting this thread asking 20 people for the addresses (Well, 19 people and myself). Upon receiving them I will e-mail them out to all 20 people and they each have to send a postcard to the other 19. That way, everyone sends 19 cards and receives 19 cards. Myself included.

Well, we now have three people interested. Four including myself. I am sure there has to be a few more tempted to try this.

(and here I was thinking I had to limit this to 20 in order to control the onslaught of people wanting to join in the fun) :/

Ordered my cards through amazingmail.com a moment ago...they are scheduled to actually go out tomorrow. That was quick and painless, and relatively cheap. This is a GREAT idea!

Mine are slated to go out tomorrow with Amazingmail as well.

I want to also mention, a few (well, two) people have e-mailed me about one of the addresses. In case anyone else is curious, yes, there is a 'w' in the house number and I have checked it with the US Post office website. It does exist. Fear not.

My postcards are ready to go through Amazing Mail. This is my first time using it, and I sent one to myself to see how it turns out. Hope everyone likes it! I also mentioned in the message on the card that maybe we should have a little mini critic on the photos, I sure could use any comments that anyone was willing to give me. Let me know what you think! And, maybe if this goes well, we can get some other people into another one, and have more people involved next time. Only we will be able to tell them how it went the first time around...

Mine should be going out from Amazingmail tomorrow, as well. Looking forward to see what the mailman brings to brighten my day(s). I know I'm gonna love 'em.

I've had 5 great postcards so far - hope some more people are interested too! I'm not sure my ego could survive such a crushing lack of interest :)

Gordon, just be patient. I'm sure there are plenty stuck in the mail, like mine. On a purely selfish note I hope that NO MORE PEOPLE send you postcards - but that mine arrives safely - then the odds are better for ME!!!

Well, I've identified a problem with AmazingMail.com postcards. They don't have an edit to prevent bumbleheaded errors from being entered in the text portion of the postcard.
The photo I selected was one that I took last fall on a trip that included both Arizona and Nevada. I was trying to decide between a picture from Sedona ( Arizona ) and one from Las Vegas ( Nevada ). I chose the Las Vegas photo. But I still had Arizona on the brain. So what did I write in the Text? Why, "Photo taken in Las Vegas, Arizona", of course.
So, before you all PM me - I know that Las Vegas is in Nevada, not Arizona.
I discovered the error because I sent myself a postcard when I sent yours ( I wanted to see how it came out )
Anyway, just consider this to be a special collectors' edition postcard. Hold on to it, because it's value will undoubtedly increase over time.

I would have sent you one, but I am not a PAYING user of DPChallenge... If you would like one, let me know, and I would be happy to send you one!! :)

P.S. I do like your photos, though, and I think you are allowed to have an ego because of them. You should be proud of what you have accomplished, and not be worried about how many postcards you receive!

I have received 3 of my postcards in the mail today, and they are GREAT!! I got one from RonB, laurielblack, and trinch. I was going to say something about them all, but I better not, just in case everyone sent out the same ones (like I did!). I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise! This has been great, I actually WANT to go the mailbox now...

I have received five so far and they are all very good. Thanks much.

I actually received six as I cheated and sent myself one just to see how it looked after Amazingmail. They make a quite impressive product.

And Ron, thanks much for clearing that up. I tried everything and all I could find was Arizona Charlie̢۪s in Las Vegas Nevada. Not a problem, I̢۪m retired and had nothing else to do. Thanks for the laugh.
