Oh gosh, Anita. What a rush! Thank you so much. It was fun to experiment :-)

I got the blue from Posthumous

While I and some friends were walking at night; this little Indian boy was climbing up and down a wall surrounding the Dubai Museum and one of my two photographer friends suggested I shoot the silhouette. I had to set him up as his original silhouette was not so powerful. The photo is near basic editing except for the bit of the purple/pink on the top right corner I felt needed to stop the orange.

Thanks Posthumous

Probably no surprise. Was just a question of which would get the more variance

This is the only ribbon I'm shooting for here. I wants the variance. Means I've struck a nerve on both sides, just the way I like it.

Thank you B, both for the fish and the condolences. OOB thinking often involves skating on thin ice. This time it cracked :-(

Sorely under appreciated by the masses.

Here's three shots that are somewhat unusual takes on the landscape thing but IMHO were all excellent and under appreciate.

What I loved about voting on and viewing this challenge was just how great all the images from all the different viewpoints were. There was amazing "eye candy" type shots like hahn23 's beautiful and deserving blue ribbon winner and there was also a ton of beautiful shots from the "alternate" (for a lack of a better term) take on the challenge.

One of the best challenges I've seen in a long time from a image quality standpoint.

Landscapes, a couple of entertaining oddities, and one that received plenty of glory in the vote.

for landscapes that help me grow and appreciate different styles (8s and 9s from me) and one that was just truly happy:
