You can delete your online photo stream by logging on at iCloud.com, clicking your user name upper right, then clicking "Advanced". You can't delete individual photos, just the whole stream. |

You can turn off automatic upload to photostream. Photostream can be enabled in iPhoto '11 v 9.2 or Aperture v 3.2, but not both. It is true images in the photostream are not able to be selectively deleted. One can reset the entire photostream for a fresh start. Images in one's photostream stay for 30 days. Limit is 1000. None of the images in the photostream count towards storage limits. Still testing....
When the dust settles, I think Apple will fix the lack of selective deletion in the Photostream. Until then, I'll just use selective, manually uploaded images to the Photostream. |

Not public, per se. Although anyone with eyes on your devices which are iCloud enabled will be able to see your images in your Photostream. |

If your family is using a shared apple id across your individual iDevices, then you will not take photos of cute butts :) it will show up on their devices as well. |

According to what I read, they're only available to that ID. And, the only way to delete an individual photo is to change the date so it's past the 30 days. You have to delete it, one at a time, from the cloud & then each individual device. |

AT&T may be stepping up to the plate!. Shows the damn thing shipped. and by Priority Overnight FedEx!
And here, I only checked it because I was going to the store today to raise hell about cancelling the order and getting one there.

Both are snapshots. I simple walked over, composed and shot. Cropped and and resized. I know the D700 is capable of so much more but I though it was an interesting comparison. From the looks of both of these photos....I guess a snapshot is a snapshot.
Taken with D700
Taken with iPhone 4s

Arrived Saturday before noon! They screwed up which phone was which though. Had to take a 3 hour drive to the other phone (after doing it the night before) to trade SIM cards. All is good now....except I want my Jailbreak back. :-)

Seems like the iOS 5 firmware can now be jailbroken on the iPhone 4 and Siri has been ported on the iPhone 4. So the only thing new on the iPhone 4s is the camera and a A5 chip... Kinda glad I Didint waste the money on upgrading my iPhone :) |

Camera and the dual A5 along with iCloud is the reason I went to Apple from Android.

Not totally sure that Siri is running (like it should) on the 4 yet. Videos I have seen don't show much.
Waiting for that 4s jailbreak here. I WANT MY BUUF BACK!!!!
Siri is fine, so far. I am loving it on the motorcycle with the bluetooth Scalarider Q2. hands free operation. Listen to, "write" texts, answer and make phone calls (I came off a 3G) , etc., etc.
Just need that jailbreak back to get Bluetooth Mono back to stream music...or upgrade to a $200+ Scalarider G4. DAMN!!!

I have a question about Siri:
Sometimes, she misunderstands what I say, and I don't believe there is any way to "teach" her. It is still quicker to fix a mistake in a reminder Siri created, than doing the whole thing from scratch, but it would help if she knew what she got wrong, in order to learn from those mistakes.
Apple claims this on their website:
"Siri works right out of the box, without any work on your part. And the more you use Siri, the better it will understand you. It does this by learning about your accent and other characteristics of your voice. Siri uses voice recognition algorithms to categorize your voice into one of the dialects or accents it understands. As more people use Siri and it̢۪s exposed to more variations of a language, its overall recognition of dialects and accents will continue to improve, and Siri will work even better."
My question is: HOW does she supposedly learn this if there is no way to give her feedback? |

I have every song known to man. All of them are on my I4S.
I was fooling with Siri and asked her to play "Chewy Chewy" (by Ohio Express). She said "ok, playing Cherry Cherry" (by Neil Diamond). That was wrong so I stopped the song. I said again... "play Chewy Chewy" ...She got it right...she hasn't missed that one since.(I tested several times). So Siri may learn by taking in your actions. It also gets Cherry Cherry correct every time now.
I've got some hard ones....If I say Jungle Love by Steve Miller...Seri jumps on it....If I say Jungle Love by Morris Day...she hits that. I can say play "random" Siri shuffles and plays.
I haven't typed a text in several weeks. Siri hits it almost every time. I also find that the more "normal" I speak, the better it works!
Oh well...we'll see how it all falls together.

Interesting, Kenny, thanks. Maybe I should put the Kindle away and take Siri to bed with me, instead.... she might learn something from it ;-) |
