Here's the deal. You send me a postcard and I'll enter you in to a draw. First name out of the hat gets their choice of one of my ribbon winning pictures or current top six scoring images, at the time of the draw.
You will win a limited edition (to an edition of 10) archivally printed and mounted 5x7 of your selected image, matted and signed by me. I will pay to have this shipped to you.

What's the catch ? There is none. You do have to be a current member of dpc at the time the draw happens. You can enter if you are not a member and sign up, but you must be a member on or around the time of the draw. (I'm not going to be too fussed if your membership just lapsed or something,as long as you renew)
How do you enter ? Send me a postcard. It must be a picture postcard (not just a plain white one - they'll get thrown in the bin). Write whatever you want, but be sure to include a valid dpc member's name and also contact info (email is fine) so that I can get in touch when you win. This offer IS open to anyone - you do not have to live in the US to enter. But remember you have to be, or become a paid up DPC member to win.
Closing date: I will make the draw on Sunday June 6th. All entries must arrive by the post on June 5th. No exceptions. Please keep it to one entry per person.
Why am I doing this ?
Why not ?
Answers (and entries) on a postcard to:

Sounds great. Do you prefer "Greetings from " type postcards, single image location specific postcards, generic artsy postcards, or printed from our own photograph postcards?

As long as it has a interesting picture on it - anything you like. Feel free to send me the most funky, original interesting postcards you can find. Or the cheesiest, most boringly traditionally tourist ones too.
(Though unless you are good, please don't draw something on it in crayon - this means you Rob Smith)

Gordon, I think this is a great idea. I think ALL DPC participants should get some 4x6 postcards made up from some of their photographs. You can basically make a good 4x6 print at any 1hr lab that does digital prints. My local Eckerd Drug prints on a 4x6 paper that has a postage block on the back already for mailing.
It's a great way to share your photos with others. Drop one in the mail :)
I'm gonna send one hoping to win one of Gordon's prints :)
Good luck to all who try this :)

There is Amazing Mail that, from the one sample I've tried, do a really good job too. |

It has to be crayon, they don't let me have sharp things... |

Just a note here - I just registered with this site, and Amazing Mail gives you one 4x6 postcard free when you register. I assume it includes the postage as well, but I have to wait till I get home to upload a decent image. Thanks for posting this link, Gordon! You are a fountain of information :-)

First post card arrived yesterday :) Thank you rmahan - great gorilla!
It was an amazingmail postcard - that's two I've had from them and they are strong enough to survive the postal service and are very high quality and good prints.

Oooh, I just discovered Amazing mail. I sent you a second postcard, this time of my own creation. If only one entry is allowed per user, feel free to keep the other one with my compliments.

Is there a limit to the amount of cards we can send you?
This is a FANTASTIC idea. I like it a lot. I would LOVE to have one of your prints, you have some of the best pics on here Gordon! DPC without Gordon is like Art without Van Gogh.
Good luck! I'll bet you'll have quite the collection of postcards! In fact, you should make a collage!

Let's try and limit it to one entry per person (I guess I should have added that to the rules ;) Trinch - I'll leave one entry in the pot for you - thank you for the two cards though!

I can't say enough how I like AmazingMail, I've used them for about 5 years. As an American living overseas, when someone sends us a letter or a box, it is so much faster to take a pic of it, and send it back to them on a postcard than it is to mail a letter from here.
You can actually put a total of 3 pics on one card without much difficulty (1 regular pic for the postcard, 1 where the text would go, and one small one that is printed between the address and return address). I've probably sent about 500 postcards. They will even mail them overseas for no extra cost.
