Thanks Don and Paul for the mentions. That, and the comments give me the boost I need to work on my next sub 5 entry. Really appreciate it.

And for those who don't know, 'cause I've been slack for so long, it's the images I scored highest but placed lowest on the final scores.

- A sorely underrated image. The hint of a victim, the blur, the macro close up and strong linear elements of the 'teeth' (what are they called?) all combine to create a powerfully oppressive feeling, claustrophobic and shivery. Nicely done.

- This is just so full of joy, sun and movement. I think everyone else has said what I need to; it's simply lovely.

- This is very evocative of real darkroom work. The half sabatiered effect looks like so much silver on the paper. It just feels good. The composition and expression work well, the exposure is good, but it's the sabatier that keeps me coming back.

I've been X'd...thanks for the prize and the powerful comment as well.

Horizon Line XPrizes...

A fascinating, dark and heavy image. The high line, the hints of structures, or trees, all work to create an oppressive and vaguely threatening image. Nicely done indeed.

A lovely, dark and soft image. It lets us see our desires. Stunning.

This is lovely, truly lovely. We must look long and hard, to try to understand. But we want to understand. However, we can never truly understand, it resists all empirical enquiry. It feels so good, though.

Thanks Clive! I was really happy with the comments which indicated that this had somehow "connected" with at least a couple of people, and I was actually pleasantly surprised at the overall score.

Paul and Sarah, thanks a lot. Means a lot. And Sarah, I'd be lying if your New Horizons shot (below) wasn't dancing in my day-dreaming head when I was composing this. Didn't at all work out that way, but it was nice inspiration.
