I was in Boston in mid-November and was walking thru the Commons near a fountain. Suddenly this flock of pigeons took off and started swirling around us. Some flew quite close - freaked me out. So I whipped out my camera and just started shooting and hoped for the best. And here it is.

Looks like we placed pretty close in FS. LOL! Wonderful sense of motion here!

Topaz worked well enough for a Posthumous ribbon. What better validation could you have? :)

This is a stunning effect, particularly the lower left corner, but every bird is absolutely fascinating.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: This is a highly dynamic image - I really enjoy the rightmost pigeon which acts as an anchor for the rest of the image.

Critical stuff: I think there are elements of your editing choices that might be seen as a little over-egged. I think I'd have preferred this as a grainy monochrome than a smoothed colour image.

Overall: I DO like it though.

That is an excellent capture. So much motion in such a small area.

A nice capture that has been made even more interesting by the heavy PP effects.

Seems like a sequel to the entry titled "bombers".
