One good thing coming from this sc - at least I'm going back over all my images from last year and this year. It's a useful exercise. Also, thanks everyone for all the faves and hundreds of comments, I really appreciate them.

exciting news about katee the wonder dog ..!!
this saturday me and katee are going to be assessed by Delta so we can visit ppl in hospitals, institutions etc .. i reckon katee will put a huge smile on a lot of ppl's faces coz she is so incredibly friendly to everyone .. delta doesnt 'do' many places around where i live but if we pass the assessment then it will open doors to ones that are closer to us etc ..
what she has to pass .. wish us luck .. the only thing that would prevent us passing is that very occasionally she's not quite as obedient as she should be .. we're working on it .. !!

Sorry to post so much, I'll get back to commenting. But ... I've been working my way through a tutorial for the last few days. I decided to follow their process as exactly as possible. They were comparing two different ways to do the same things, using same picture, same 3 textures, but done differently. So I picked one picture and applied their textures in the two ways that were described. This is what I came up with:
 
Same picture, exact same 3 texture files, but applied differently and processed differently. I was amazed at how different things can look using the same texture files!
Added: Tutorial by subscription, at Chromasia. Not promoting the site, I'm not affiliated to it, I just like it.

This is one of about 6 images I uploaded and unsubmitted for the reflections challenge. I love this image. I just needed to put it up here somewhere, so I added an overlay of "snow" dots, and butterfly brushes. I still haven't figured out how to add the brushes as a separate layer, and wanted to get rid of them but didn't put them on a duplicate layer and so now they're there. |

I am getting sick of looking at this - frustration and other issues in real life (yeah I have one of those:-P )are just not helping...
Taken on a foggy day back in 2009; model is me. I have thrown I don't know how many layers/overlays at this and still don't know if it captures what I am going for...watercolor, impressionist, aged, quiet - was a bit inspired to capture a mood like salmiakki did with her Day 12 composition.
Don't know...just don't know. Thoughts?
