 Not sure if I went overboard with this one... It's a belladonna flower, a very poisonous plant, taken in 2009 while on a trip in Picton, ON.

I added 2 different textures and one more purple layer, which I blended using the Color mode to deepen all the greens. Then I masked parts of the purple layer to bring back the details in the flowers. The thing is, I think it doesn't quite "fit" with the rest of the picture.

Oh well! I had fun and I am quite happy with those greens I was able to get. Your comments are welcome!

The texture overlay on the backdrop green really projects the sense of touch. You know how some floral leaves have a downy softness to them? That is the sense of touch I get when I look upon the image. Absolutely wonderful colors - rich greens and violet hues that are very pleasing to the eye.

I think it all fits wonderfully! Belladonna is what they use to kill the bad guy in one of my favorite "chick fliks". LOL!

this is so NOT overboard ... the colours and intensity really grab me .. WOW .. :)
also, that top flower looks almost personified .. as if its just about to leap or dive into the green abyss .. :)

Funny, cause I did something similar today. I LURVE the purple and green. So rich and full of depth. I could just dive into those colors. These images are so much more than an edited photograph. They are masterfully created and I really appreciate the effort. :)
