Decided to redo this because the colored butterflies were driving me nuts. This is much more subtle and more to my liking.

Edited to add, I forgot to include in my notes that this was shot from the hip. I had no idea if the aperture and speed were right, or even if I'd gotten anything in frame. Shocked it all worked as well as it did.

Love the leading lines in this composition in which the eye naturally travels up with the travelers on the escalator. The subtle addition of the butterflies in the overlay layer makes me think that the very air on our upward journey is light and springlike.

The butterfly and snow add a nice touch to an already great picture.

Don't dup the layer, hit layer-new-layer. It will be a blank. Then you can use blending modes on the layer. This is pretty trippy! LOL!

now i'm wondering what you've entered .. !!
i love this shot especially with the overlay .. quite different .. makes me think of giant butterflies on a domed roof, very high up .. would catch ppl's eyes as they go up the escalator .. they're tripping and falling when they reach the end from looking up rather than down .. and if its really crowded then there could be a pile up at the end .. !!..:)
