This is my first entry into any dpchallenge. I'm fully epxecting (and will be more than happy with) a 4.5 - 5 average. So far I've got squat....

Well, that's not true. I can see that your entry has 12 votes right now with a score of 5.5 ...the reason I can see this is since it's your first challenge entry I can tell by looking at your profile page where it stands. This is only accurate for a photographers first entry.
Since you are a member you should be seeing this updating on your home page. Are you hitting the update button below your entry's thumbnail on your home page?

I don't ever expect much from my photos anymore....but this is ridiculous!
I changed the photo 3 times before I was satisfied with the entry. It is absolutely better than a sub 6 image.
At the very least better than a sub 5.

If this follows my trend for the past week or so it should be around a 5.3-5.4 by the afternoon. Hopefully it will go up though but you never know. I still Love DPC. If I wasn't here I would probably think my photography was amazing and would become stale, as it is I see the flaws compared to many of the photos on here and it pushes me to work harder and learn. |
