My one comment in 100yo thinks my colors are way off, but they're quite true. Guess that explains the score...

Well I went thru my photos looking for that hidden gem, I found lots of memories of good times and one that made me smile so I put it in. Will it ribbon no, will it be in the top 200 no, will it always make me smile and give me fond memories yes. One thing that I have learned is that I will never please all the people and I only need to please myself when it comes to taking pictures. Also on anoter note, do you pick your lens and then go out and shoot with that lens in mind? Or do you take all your glass and then when you find what you want to shoot pick the lens for it? |

I'm still looking for my shot...
As for your question on lenses. When I go out to "just shoot", I take my 24-105 and my 10-22. If I plan to shoot something (flowers, for instance) that might require it, I'll take the 100mm. Some days I'll take that instead of the 24-105 for candids, too. Harder to work with but a good exercise. Lately, if I'm carrying the "big bag", I'll throw in the Rebel with the Lensbaby on it. But mostly just the first two lenses I mentioned. That covers most everything for the way I shoot. I think it all depends on how you shoot! |

I'm having the same problem choosing a hidden gem so I'll probably go for what I was going to enter in Feb FS, but ran out of time.
I almost always take the 18-200 mm Nikkor (for zoom, telephoto and wide angle) and the 18-55 kit lens, mostly for close interior shots. Usually the f1.8 50mm macro stays home. |

OK, I'm in for the 1000th challenge. Figured it more or less obligatory. :-) |

Ahh, Pentax. I can fit my 135mm f/3.5, my 18-55 kit, my Tammy 28-75mm f/2.8 and my 50mm f/1.7 in the same tiny shoulder bag! lol. |

I looked through my portfolio gems for a funky chicken to match my mood but couldn't find one. I need to get out more. |

Ah, now I know of two things I don't have in my stash - fuzzy socks and funky chickens. I need to get out more, too. |

I am in for Gem.....did that before I left.
Honduras is absolutely unbelievable.
I got here Saturday night.....I have taken 1300 pictures.
I am also working my tail off.
I found an Internet hookup, but the computer is wifty and the keyboard has Spanish thingies all over it that I have no clue how to get around.
I took one of the best shots of my life this afternoon.....it will need about zero processing, and it is a dead ringer for Hope.
Later..... |

With all that working your tail off, your gym instructor should be proud of you! |

I am, its a photo that means something personal to me, and not very DPC friendly. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! |

I am heading out to a job interview in a few moments. This is the second for this position, its the practical (hands on) exam. I could really use some positive vibes and thoughts. |
