Have a bit of catch-up to do, with all the Christmas celebrations :) So here are Day 24 to 27. no snow (as you,ll see). We're getting ice rain (much worse - trust me). While it truly is a pain - try walking on wet ice and looking elegant - it is beautiful in a photographic way. So the four shots of today are taken from this mess that's been falling for the past 2 days (and we expect more tomorrow...). never thought I would say this but... I wish it would snow!!! And Merry Christmas everyone!

This is Sam, she is almost 18 years old. She was a gift from me to my wife when we moved into our first house. Her mom would not let her have an inside cat, so when we got our own house Sam was my gift to her. Sam is short for Samantha, she has been sick for the past month, and hasnt eaten in a week. Its just a matter of time before she isnt with us anymore. My wife and I cant make the call to the vet to do what we both know needs to be done. I have been taking photos of her for many years, and yet not many seem to make it here on this site. So her she is.

Editing to add. Thank you all for your comments and your thoughts. We placed Sam to rest this afternoon in our flower garden.

Oh, man.....

I can't tell you how many times my wife and I have been there in the past 30 years together.

We love cats.

They'll tear your heart out when they go, but you woill get through it.....only to have it happen all over again.

They're worth it.
