Finally woke up and edited the photos from last nights party. LOL I laugh because my idea of party I'm sure doesnt meet most peoples definitions. We spent the evening at a relatives house and we played Wii Fit in the basement with the kids. My favorite shot of the night. Played a bit with slower shutter speed and high ISO to get some sharp photos.

my henna, again. this time i actually tried to be a bit artsy with the photographs rather then just a bare bones photo. i did two tattoos on my mom and two tattoos on my today. i peeled mine before i could do a photo though, so no pics of me:)

This has been a great side challenge for me. I didn't quite make my goal of shooting with 31 lenses in 31 days, but I only missed a few of them. I just got too busy toward the end of the year to do it.
Thank you everyone for all the thoughtful comments, and I will try to go back through and comment on a lot of the images next month when things are settled down a bit.
Here is what the last sunset of the year looked like from here:

I was invited to a BBQ party, and to a boat party (Jose Feliciano, will be there, for those old enough to remember him) on my son's boat. I think I am going to stay home tonight to rest up for a big day of launching watermelons and eating BBQ tomorrow instead of partying tonight.

My final entry. It has been an incredible journey. I have really been inspired by the work in this challenge and the feedback I have received. I want to personally say THANKS to iamwoman for creating this side challenge and allowing us to showcase our diverse talents and taste without the pressures of normal challenges. We should all do this again! (soon, maybe every other month or something)

Thanks to all and Happy New Year. Now I'm off to wear out my update button...

I'm finishing up commenting today - have about 30 more to go that I selected. There were so many shots in this side challenge I could only comment on a random selection; I believe I commented on at least one shot from every participant, but if I missed you completely, just PM me and I'll go visit your shots and shoot you a comment or two. :)

Thanks one and all for posting their images and to the many who commented on mine.....you're all too kind. I am getting cable 'Net at the end of next week, so I'll actually be able to participate more with commenting. I *WILL* get to y'all at some point.

My last image is of my Christmas gift from my sister.....after 30+ years, she finally sent me my Mom's cameras.....my Mom was the photographer who got me started some 40 years ago. She died too young, but left me with her legacy......the passion for photography. Kind of a fitting tribute for the last day of 2008. This has been just the all 'round BEST year for me!

The second one from the left is the Agfa twin les reflex that I saw growing up, and the Canon was her "Special" camera.
