It's too cold for me outside (sunny but mid-30's) so I'm working on old images. This is a no longer in use train stop in San Antonio, just south of Socorro in New Mexico.

Processing:
Crop
Shadow/hilight
Color Efex Pro Tonal Contrast on building only
Color Efex Pro Sunshine
Clone out power lines
Channel mixer to convert to B&W, 90% opacity
krnodil's WONDERFUL overlay , three times: first in overlay mode, 100% opacity, next screen mode with center removed, 30% opacity, then duplicate previous and desaturate, screen mode 80% opacity

I did not know there was a San Antonio in New Mexico so I was a bit confused when reading your explanation. Nifty find, and VERY nice use of that overlay!

Love your process to get this "depression era" feel

Oh wow - I thought you were in Texas - didn't know there was a SAN ANTONIO, NM although it makes perfect sense. This is a terrific mix of the old layer to create such a sense of age and nostalgia. YES YES

Looks very much like an old worn painting. Nice.

Fantastic processing. The end result is nothing like the starting image. It all looks so appropriate for an old out of use train atstion. It looks like something out of an old Western movie.
