Hi everybody, after a hard week unpacking I´m back!
this is the day after I move to a new house.

also dont worry about keeping up with posting ... this is the most relaxed side challenge .. as lisa  iamwoman said somewhere or other to ppl who thought they had to comment and post to stay in this side challenge .. just do what you can .. :)

Off on a business trip for a couple of days - will get back to commenting when I return. I really enjoy seeing all your various views on the world. I think the thing I like best about side challenges like this is the story that goes with the pictures. Fun to get to know people better!
jomari asked about the Gorillapod - I got it to take to Rome and the little thing comes in quite handy! I have the largest one (I think) and it does a good job holding my 30D with the 24-105 lens on it (which is a wee bit heavy, but not huge). You'll find you either take a lot of shots from just above ground level (I focus while crouching, then switch to manual focus, then set it down) and you don't have the best ability to compose that way unless you're willing to lay on the ground to see through the viewfinder! Also works to set it on walls, benches, etc, or to try to wrap it on things like stair railings, but it's a bit less stable that way. At any rate, it's very handy to have and a whole lot easier to carry than my tripod.
And one more - a bit different if you're not familiar with pinhole cameras....

Before and after pics of a street tree in Ballarat getting a Christmas makeover.
They were taken a few days apart, hence the difference in weather.
Another one of the Town Hall clock tower peeking out above another tree.
All the trees along the main street have had the treatment.

Took the pic yesterday but didn't have time to edit and post.
and today at work. Still can't quite believe I've managed to keep up sofar this month.
