I had three entries for the Book Titles challenge. I really couldn't decide which to enter. Showed them to work colleagues and everyone liked a different one, left me none the wiser.

In the end I picked one and submitted, but kept the others as I wanted people's opinions here.

If I went with pure majority at work I'd have gone for the more full body shot by the way, but it was a very close thing.

Importantly this is not even a tiny bitch at my challenge result. I did far better than I thought I would and got my best score yet by far, so I am delighted :)

The one I was going to originally enter but changed my mind:

The one you entered is best of the three, IMO

I like the third one in the set better than the one you entered, but the one you entered was still my favorite shot in the challenge.

i think the best idea was the 2nd, then 1st, then 3rd in order of the linking of the pictures.. only because (although I can't say I've read the novel) the description mentions "Of Human Bondage is a potent expression of the power of sexual obsession".. and the 2nd one definitely has a more sexual tone to it - but, less appearance of the upper arms/armpits might have been good

You submitted the right one IMO. Excellent shot. Great lighting.

Very interesting .... I am getting the same sort of split when I asked people. It seems there was no obvious right answer here.

I still prefer the one I entered, as it seems do several others :)

The book isn't about bondage, in fact I haven't even read it and am not sure what it's about *laugh* I was depicting the title only, and for all I know the book might be a technical guide to tractor maintenance :)

Thanks for your comment there John, that is huge praise for me coming from you :)

Maybe it's an advantage that you hadn't read the book. We were only intended to depict the titles - a fact some people failed to notice.

I know what you mean there Gina.

There were a couple of really excellent photos in the challenge that I could not see any connection to the title of the book at all. I think the photo probably related to the contents of the book, but as I didn't know the books in question I didn't really know.

One of my favourite photos in the whole challenge, I won't mention which, I could make any connection between TITLE and phote. It was not the only entry for that particular book. The other entry(s) were not nearly as good in photographic tems, imho, but they were very obviously the title.

I'm stuck between the first and second, but I think I'm leaning towards the first... more subtle, which I like :)
