I'll be heading to DC on Wednesday, so I'll miss a few days of entries. Get to meet some DPCers though, so I'll have some GTG shots when I get back. :~)

So I notice the freestudy is advanced editing, how does overlays fit into advanced editing?

I think they don't because it must be all one picture. the overlay would be a second picture. [eta] there might be an occasional overlay challenge, though. but mostly this is just awesome fun. I'm really missing it. My 'puter is in the shop this week. All it ever did was reboot. ugh.

My computer had that same problem about a month ago...I used it as an excellent reason to get a new one. I tried a million things to fix it and nothing worked.

We need an "expert" challenge, or whatever the heck they're called, to use overlays and non-typical brushes. But why not shoot through some scruffy glass, or any other sort of transparent thing you can come up with?

I shot this through the viewfinder ( TtV ) of an old Brownie camera I have:

.

We should do a monthly challenge dealing with shooting through various things sometime...like TtV of another camera, different kinds of glass, plastic bags, cellophane, you name it. All would be legal in advanced editing...not particualrly DPC friendly, but cool none the less.
