Mini Wild One / Former Wild One

I had to go out of town yesterday for work so I wasn't able to put up a shot so I am using one from today. I also used the comments on my Day 5 shot and tried some re-edits on it.

re-edit of Day 5:
Day 6 Day 7

Now to get caught up on some comments. This has been a great 7 days and I have really enjoyed seeing all the different images of all types of "Wild Things".

Day 7

This has been a fun challenge, MaryO. Thanks for organizing it. And thanks to all who participated. I loved the pictures and the comments.

For day 6 (shot day 7)

and, if that is a repeat, how about a retry for
day 7

Thank you everybody, this has been a good one.

My wife found this dove in the middle of the street this afternoon, about half a block from our home. It seems to be doing fine, and is eating baby food and drinking water. We plan to see about taking it to a wild animal rehab place Monday AM.

It's been a fun side challenge for me, as I love wildlife and wild scenery and plants. Thanks for all the suggestions and comments everyone. Hope to be in another side challenge with some or all of you again soon.

Here are a couple to catch me up. I've got a horrible sunburn and I've just been laying around being lazy so as not to bump myself on anything!

I have a few more shot's to comment on tonight (it's currently 7am in the UK), and a whole host of pictures I could still put up . .

Are we closing this side challenge now the week is up ? or - as the shot's still seem to be flowing in looking at a time extension ?

I'm still watching for more shots, if people have some to post.

Glad I chose last week as the "official" entry week as it has turned beastly hot here and everything outdoors is either hiding somewhere or wilting!

Ok, one more go for a wild thing, just because I like the way this one turned out. I took this one on the same day that I found the Cedar Waxwing.

Still intend to post woodpecker feeding shots, and do some more commenting. A little too busy and tired to work with photos on screen for a bit.

I just have too many wild thing shots ;-) so I will post another one. This was my May FS entry. Now to catch up on comments....

Still taking woodpecker feeding shots; just haven't organized them. - So I am definitely in favour of keeping this thread alive.

I'm away till the middle of next week but more than happy to keep shooting after that :)

I'm always happy to keep it going if people want to post and comment - or maybe we should stop it for now then open say the August Wild things thread to capture the different seasons ?

You could still post older images if you particualarly liked them anyway :- )

I can't think of a more appropriate thread to post this in:

I have a few more that I've shot too, so I could continue on if you all still want to.

Don't know how much of a contribution I'll be able to make over the next while but I would love to see this thread continue. It's been inspirational seeing all these wonderful shots and receiving comments on some of mine.
