I (and my siblings) bought one of a family portrait of all of us (17 altogether) for my mom for Christmas.
VERY pleased with it.

Here it is!
My mother-in-law loves it! I looked it over at home then wrapped it all back up in the original packing. Once she pulled the cardboard holder out of the box (the print still wrapped in the foam paper) and could see what it was, she ripped through the foam paper like a little kid unwrapping a new bike. Her eyes really lit up (I wanted to slow her down to keep her from damaging the canvas, but couldn't interupt her joy). So she loves it, I though it turned out great, and everyone else was jealous they didn't get one...I told them they could always place an order through me! ;)
Thanks Billy for introducing me to Canvas On Demand!

I need to get my canvas print because my coupon code expires soon.
I didn't see on their site where it lists what format they will accept. I did see references to JPG, but will they accept TIF or other lossless format?

All I saw was JPG 300dpi, less than 10MB.

I found a page with more info.
"The resolution from most newer digital cameras works perfectly for our canvas product. If your camera is 3 mega pixel or higher and you've taken the photo at the highest setting you won't have a problem. If you're not sure about any of that, you can check the file size by right clicking on your image, then, click on properties, where the size will be displayed. Images that are 2 meg or higher are great. Images under 2 meg but higher than 0.7 meg are usually workable, so go ahead and upload those. JPEG or TIF files are both OK. We'll always call you if there is an issue."

As a side note (but relevant), they accept files in AdobeRGB. |

FWIW I uploaded my jpg file at 150 dpi and I don't think extra resolution would have improved it. It was fantastic at 16x20! |

hey guys!
I just received this same offer in an email the other day, so they are STILL offering this deal :D The cool thing is, if you've already done the free print deal, they also give a 40% discount for studio samples!
Enjoy...

If you call them they will work with you. I submitted an almost 200MB tiff file for a panoramic I did with no issues.

Hey all,
I received an email saying that this offer ends June 30, 08 so unfortunately the offer is no longer valid. But the registration form is still there so there might still be hope for those who haven't ordered yet. Just thought I would let everyone know that who hasn't heard yet. I received my coupon last night so they are still issuing them. |

We got ours last month...finally! Was a gallery wrap of a sunrise on top of Haleakala Crater in Maui back in April on our vacation. Size was off and they emailed me saying they didn't want to crop anything, so we got an 18X24 at no extra cost. This company went beyond what others have offered...we will order many times again! Super great work and super fast delivery.

I just ordered a 24x36 of a picture I shot of the Seattle Waterfront. Unless you know Seattle, or are familiar with the WaMu tower, you may not recognize it because of the lack of the Space needle. This of course was intended. The print is out of this world! I even had to touch up the photo in Aperture because of dust on the lens and you can't even tell! I gallery wrapped it and it looks amazing. I will keep it forever and will for sure order more from these guys! Their email interaction was truly impressive.
There are jpeg artifacts becaused I was lazy and scaled it in MsPaint.
A larger version of the photo is available here

your link took me to a video of a cheerleader getting knocked out by a soccer ball. Not that I'm complaining, it was funny. |

Fixed! I have a really awful host. But that's what I'd expect from a free one! Yes, the redirection site is odd, it just showed me a video of some Led Zepellin footage...
[update] not fixed. Damn. Well if you really want to see the photo, which everyone of course does,Thar she be!
[update] Fixed again. Sheesh. Imagecave is a cool host that supports direct linking. Saved my butt!

I signed up for the free canvas print back in 2007 when this thread was first started but I never got around to actually ordering it. I figured I had lost my opportunity. Then just before Christmas 2008, I did a shoot for a family that wanted a 30x24 canvas print. When I placed my order with this company, I was given the option of deducting the value of my free print from my order...around $84-ish. Not only that, the shipping was fast, communication was excellent and very helpful and the quality of the print was beautiful! My clients were extremely pleased and I will definitely order from them again.
If you haven't taken advantage of your free print and thought it was too late, you probably can still get credit for the value of it. Doesn't hurt to try, anyway. |

Does anyone regularly order canvas prints from this company? How are their prices? |

If regular means more than once, or who I choose when I need a canvas, I do. :)
Their prices are a smidge cheaper than smugmug's, and I think comparable to others. All that I have had printed with them have been awesome, as well as quick delivery. However, I'm in WNC and they ship out of Raleigh (5 - 6 hours away), so the shipping is very good for me.
(The last one I ordered, I ordered on a Sunday night, and had it in my house by Thursday). |

Lovely shot :) For some reason, the colours in the reflection are what attract me. Yes, I'm weird... but I still like it.
(and had to chuckle at your edits as you fought with your host ;) ) |
