Mine also arrived with imperfections. There were three very small white spots towards the bottom of the canvas. The wood is a little bit warped but I already bent it back and it's much better. After reading this I looked again and noticed a fairly large blemish in one of the corners. I wasn't going to give them a call until I saw the larger one so thanks for opening my eyes.

I'll post pictures but it will probably be a few days since I'm way behind in the SOL challenge.

Customer service said they would gladly replace the canvas. All I had to do was cut out the bad spots and send them in. I have a feeling some people were trying to take advantage of their return policy.

This weekend the knife comes out! I'll be sure to take pictures.

Has anyone ordered a canvas print after processing on a macbook that hasn't been calibrated? I'm just wondering how close the colors are.

Colors will be a crap shoot because without ICC color profiles from their system, there is no way to guarantee color accuracy. That said, saving the file as sRGB and letting them make the adjustment it looks pretty darn good. My print is very close to my monitor and after all it is free so I can't complain! :-)

I got mine!

The only problem is their order process messed up and Water Colors came in the wrong size (they sent 12x18 rather than 16x24). Also, I did not get any hanging hardware in the package, as their site implies.

However, I called and they are going to redo Water Colors in the right size, since it was their system's fault. They are very nice, and responsive.

Here they are:

Originally, I gave them artists choice on the wrap style, but since they are redoing Watercolors, I asked them to reconsider the fact that losing the leaf on the bottom may not be a good thing. She said they could photo wrap the three other sides, and use a color wrap on the bottom (which no one sees, according to her.)

I am happy with their service despite the mistake. And I hope they let me keep the mistaken size print, for my troubles (it was their mistake).

They will definitely get my future business.

I talked to customer service last Thursday, and they asked me to email pics of the damage. I have finally gotten around to taking some more shots, and I just sent the email off.

I'll let you all know how it goes!

I sent a few emails back and forth to a nice guy named Jon, and they are replacing all 5 damaged canvases. I just got the fedex shipping notification moments ago! Looks like all will be well. Hopefully they arrive in good shape this time.

I'm also quite happy with the product and especially the service. They are getting this batch of replacements out really quickly.

Did they request photo proof of the blemishes or ask you to cut it up?
10/19/2007 07:28:34 PM · #257
They just wanted photo proof. I sent about 10 pics of the various bits of damage on the 5 canvases. I'm guessing the discrepancy may be due to the fact that I used the $84 off toward an order for 6 total canvases, about $330 total order before the discount. It may have made a difference that 5 of 6 (thus almost all) were damaged as well.

uhhhh - i have a feeling this may be partially my fault... I've advised and/or helped nearly a hundred people take advantage of this offer (on this & other sites)! LOL

Still, glad to hear of C.O.D. taking care of everything!

Took the picture on Sunday.

Uploaded and ordered on Tuesday.

Delivered today.

I'm a happy customer. :)

Would've taken a picture of it, but it is a Christmas present for the in-laws and I had already boxed it back up when I remembered. :/

It was of this shot --

Yes, you will get bills from all of us for all we spend there.

But kidding aside, we owe you for letting us know about the free canvas opportunity and finding a good printing company with "personal service". I have another source of Canvas, where I sell framed prints, "//www.americanframe.com" (see my account at //www.fineartbynature.com,) but I never took a chance because of the steep investment in the print, since I was worried about the cost of "getting a bad print". But I'd be less worried here, assuming they are paying attention and willing to call you and let you know when something is wrong.

I'm bummed. My two prints were to be delivered today. They did not show up so I checked the FedEx site and they have pushed it off until Monday. It was shipped way back on the 11th. Damn!

There's something in the terms of agreement on the CanvasOnDemand site that indicate that you must own the copyright of the image being printed.

Just a heads up in case you don't own the copyright or have permission from the pro to obtain a reprint in this way.

Otherwise, wonderful photo which should look very good on canvas.

I'm working with my friend on a collage of our trip to the Alps - something like this:
[thumb]597078[/thumb]

So Yanko, does that count as a self-portrait? :P

I got my 15-day warning today, so I need to finish it up.

I got mine in on Monday, should have been Friday but some moron didn't put his building number on the address so FedEx didn't know where to find him lol.

I'm so happy with it...I can't wait to give it to my daughter for her b-day, she is gonna be so happy.

I'm getting ready to submit my shot for the canvas but was wondering something about the size dimensions. I see for the museum quality wrap I need to make the image 3.25 inches larger in width and height. Did you guys just add a white border to your image to make up for that?
