Am I the only one who keeps checking back on this thread to see if someone says they used one of their SPs for the free canvas? :P

Surely you have 20 already so I'd imagine you would at least get one of aimee with this free one. :P

Update:

I talked to customer service last Thursday, and they asked me to email pics of the damage. I have finally gotten around to taking some more shots, and I just sent the email off.

I'll let you all know how it goes!

<< A few people have asked about print resolution, so I hope this is helpful. >>

Good morning Chris!

I found the relevant page on COD - hope this helps:

//www.canvasondemand.com/pro-image-preparation.asp

Whether they call it LPI, DPI, PPI, etc. they want to know how tightly the pixels are packed together. Essentially, there are 3 levels to consider. First is online-use (72 ppi, what most computer monitors display), then small prints OR totally finished/edited/sized images (150 ppi), then the original sized images straight from the camera (300 ppi).

One interesting fact is the importance of ppi vs. viewing distance from the final product. For instance, if you have a 24x36 print that will be seen at an average of 10 feet away, then good detail can be had with as little as 100 ppi. Step up close (for a macro shot, where people love to see the details), and you'd need the full 300 ppi. BUT! the lowly billboard, seen from a couple HUNDRED feet away, is the very same image blown up & printed at just 3-5 pixels per inch.

Anyway, I hope this helps, and be sure to show us your final product!

My Coupon was due to expire tomorrow but they've extended it for another 30 days! :)

I will most likely get a 20x20 of this

If you'd like for C.O.D. to print the exact image you send, I'd go for 150 ppi (and be sure the dimensions match their web page instructions). However, sometimes its easiest to simply let the printers do there part LOL. Don't know if it helps, but here's a screencap of what I used:

Something doesn't sound quite right about your dimensions; maybe try running the wizard again & telling it to work @ 150 ppi. (Sorry - I'm responding in a hurry b4 a meeting). If you're anxious to place your order (I was! LOL), it may be best to call their Customer Service.

I also got the extension email...yeah cause I just remembered my daughter wanted my water lilly picture printed big...now I can surprise her for her b-day...if I can wait that long lol. My order came to over $84 with tax and shipping so I ended up having to pay like $25...no biggy though.

Hope I did everything correct to get a good print...guess too late now lol.

hehe - good of you to be skeptical Andrea... but if you are concerned, please read the thread carefully <<
I assure you (& everyone else) that I have not even seen any spam from this company - just a happy customer who's trying to 'pay it forward' for all that I've learned from this community.

Enjoy!

Quick reference of their good customer service.

I ordered three more canvases, 2 that were 20 x 30, one that was sized to 20 x 28.5 in Photoshop, but I figured they would make it 20 x 30 at printing, so I listed that one as 20 x 30 as well.

About 12 hours after ordering I received a phone call and an e-mail telling me that one of my prints did not meet one of their default sizes. They told me they would make a custom canvas at 20 x 28.5 at the same cost as my original purchase.

I was quite impressed by their professionalism and punctuality -- no catch here! :)

Mine is on the way!! Hope the quality is good as shown/shared, cuz I have other photos and plans that would fit this nicely.
Ordered this (modified a little) with black edging, will post a shot when I get it.

Sorry about the two different color backdrops. Didn't have a white one up and didn't want anyone to burn their retinas by seeing that chair it was in.

Without further delay. Daddy's canvas

Have to say I am really pleased with it and am glad Billy talked me into ordering one. I will get a photo of the kids soon and order another. I might even include this is my portrait pricing.
