Just wondering, How long does it usually take them to ship the canvas out? I ordered it with the rush-it service Tuesday evening and it hasn't been shipped out yet.

Mine shipped and should arrive on Monday. I ordered a print from a wedding we did a couple of weeks ago. I will have it on display when the couple comes over to view their pictures. If they buy it, great if not we will use it for display. I'm pretty excited about it. I placed my order toward the end of last week. So it took 2 - 3 business days to print and get shipped.

I ordered mine on the 22nd (a Saturday), got shipment notification on the 27th and recieved it on the 4th. I didn't opt for expedited shipping.

Well after Billy pulled me into it I ordered a 16X24 of this:

Didn't want an almost 2 year old shot of my kids and didn't have time to get a new one of them. Camping for the weekend so I had to do it today. Only thing I changed was cropped out the sky.

I just hope it won't strech over the sides and distort the image too bad

I was so thrilled my canvas arrived today...unfortunately it was short lived. I ordered a 16 by 24 of this..., I carefully took it from the box and thought to myself..."gee, looks kinda dark..." I was not my image at all! I got someone else's canvas! All the paper work had my name and info on it. I was shocked to say the least. Taped to the front of the canvas on the foam wrap was all my info with a thumbnail of what was supposed to be enclosed. What I got was a super nice urban landscape shot, I wonder who got mine. I have to say their packing is great.

Anyway, I decided to give them a call and the recording said the offices were closed for day. According to the business hours they were supposed to be open until 6pm est...it was only 5pm est. Needless to say I'm not thrilled with this first impression but I have faith and hope they dazzle me by making it right. Darn it, I was so looking forward to seeing how the print turned out.

Well, mine arrived Friday! I am really pleased with the quality, especially since my original image was quite soft to begin with (I left the upsizing up to their staff).

I got a canvas for my brother's birthday from a waterfull photo he took in Thailand on his trip there last fall. It was kind of weird though how the pricing worked. I was able to get a framed 20x30 inch print and all I had to pay was the shipping It was regularly priced at like $114 and the coupon was for only $84 off. But I still got it free (besides S&H) I wasn't complaining! can't wait till he gets it!

Actually, the 20x30 is just over $89. You may have been looking at the regular prices, which are different from the "Pro" account prices.

I just placed my order for a 16x24 ... I didn't save a larger version of this photo when I edited it, so I had to go back and do another version ... my final canvas is similar, but the crop isn't quite the same ...

This is the print I ordered. It turned out absolutely amazing. Everyone who sees it thinks it is a painting. I only paid S&H..$14, and It was well worth every penny.

Got mine delivered Monday. Wow, I'm so impressed. I got a 16X24 of a shot I took of my 2 daughters. It looks amazing. Once I've got it hung I'll take a pic and post it. Here's the shot I used.

I have had this for a couple of weeks now it seems but since we are moving I have not been able to hang it anywhere (no nails in the walls anymore). Farting around with my new 580exII and our 420ex as the slave and realized Rowan was standing right next to the print. So whammo - here is the shot. We will find a good place for it in our new home.

I was wondering how many people went over the 84$ limmit and still got there stuff for free?

Also when i resize my image in Cs2 by using "Help" it goes through steps and ask me what LPI to use.... what do i use?? and what is LPI?

sorry to 'divert' you Chris - I just thought lots of people in here would have already done these things.

About the sizing... CS2 should actually give you several choices, along with there intended output. I'd choose something that produced the most resolution (roughly 150 lpi, minimum) while NOT blowing it up more than 1.5 times original size.

If you tire of type / wait / type in the forum, I'm happy to IM or even give you my phone number...

LPI = Lines Per Inch

I got mine a couple of days ago. I finally got around to taking some shots last night. I'm afraid I'm going to have to add a bit of negative to this overwhelmingly positive thread.

As you can see in some of these shots (not so much in the thumbs, but obvious in the large versions), there are some imperfections in a few of the canvases. Don't get me wrong, I really love the print quality and the look in general. I just expected them to be perfect, and they are not (5 out of the 6 canvases I ordered and received have blemishes). Specifically, there are small spots in the corners of 4 of the 6 that are indented and are missing ink. Also, on some of them it appears that the canvas was overstretched and/or bent on one or more edges/corners.

My questions for you guys:

Anyone else seeing the same things I am in your canvases?
Am I being overly critical? Are these kinds of blemishes normal?
Anyone know what their return/replacement policy is? I see the 100% satisfaction guarantee, but I can't find anything about how to go about getting a replacement, who pays shipping, etc.

Mine also arrived with imperfections. There were three very small white spots towards the bottom of the canvas. The wood is a little bit warped but I already bent it back and it's much better. After reading this I looked again and noticed a fairly large blemish in one of the corners. I wasn't going to give them a call until I saw the larger one so thanks for opening my eyes.

I'll post pictures but it will probably be a few days since I'm way behind in the SOL challenge.

yikes! sorry to hear of problems, and I sure hope their customer service takes good care of everyone!

While I'm thinking of it - does anyone have a photo of the BACK their canvas? Someone is asking on another forum, and I don't have anything quick to provide (in a hurry @ the moment)

Thanks guys!

Billy

I ended up getting this for my free print:

Came out pretty good. Whenever I get around to actually hanging it somewhere I'll post a photo of it.

The canvas.

[thumb]601143[/thumb]

You know for free it is kick a$$. The things I don't like are the ink gain filled in some of the finer detail in the image the most notable being the star trails. Since it was a canvas though, I knew that was most likely going to happen. The other thing is this image already kinda looks like a painting, on the canvas it really looks like a painting. Now that is not nessacarily bad but it just lets me know to pick the right image for canvas printing.

It does come very well wrapped and all in all good stuff! I say it is the best $15.00 free canvas I ever got! :-D
