Not as much love from the voters as I would like. I've often noticed a slight drop in scores in the 45-60 vote range. Normally scores will increase again as they near 100 votes.

It's been two steps forward and one back all day. I can live with that, I guess.

No no no, from 12.5 to 12 :P

Actuallly I woke up this morning to a 7 at 32 votes. I am at 70 votes now.
These day voters here either are grumpy or need to get with last night's voters :P

A couple of comments have been made about shade of sepia, and voters voting on that rather than content. One thing I noticed is that if it is a very delicate shade of sepia, it can easily be mistaken for gray scale depending on monitor settings. I scored a number of images lower that the image itself deserved (if they weren't submissions to a sepia challenge) due to what I thought was gray scale (done last night on my laptop). Today, I am finding that I am adjusting quite a few of them higher as I look at them again on my work system. Looks like I have some tweaking to do to my laptop video settings!

I wonder how many folks have monitors that are set incorrectly like my laptop?

I will agree and disagree with you on this one. I have two monitures going on, one set normally and one set lighter,

pink, purple, red, pure black and white are all in there in varying degrees.

I have only voted one 10 so far, lots of OK shots and lots of poor ones...

Shade of sepia will certainly come into a voters decision, However, my driving factor has been the 'Effective use' of an overall sepia tone, to enhance the style, period, era, feel of the image. I am also looking for images thatdeserve to have a sepia tone to them and I'm seeing a lot of images where they've taken any old 5h1te and made it brown.

BTW, My score is 4.6, after 65 votes, 95 views and no comments.

Good Luck All.

Exactly. I chose my entry based on the style, period, era-feel. But the voters don't "feel" it. Except for hipychik, you definitely "got" it, thanks. 5.2.

Last night I was on 5.0000, maybe I should go back to bed the voters seem to like me better when I'm asleep.

I seem to have thrown some water out of my ship for the moment. Hoping to get above 4.67 or I'll have a new personal brown for the portfolio. :)

Still over 5 with three great comments.

One comment is all so far. People at DPC seem afraid to back up their low votes. Maybe it's because they know they cannot justify it. At least I was courteous enough to comment on any photo I voted a 5 or below, along with others that I scored higher.

Yeah, I got a comment from you, I realise I was wrong now........ Boo Hoo ... and suffering for it... 4.53333 Going for a PW ( Personal Worst )

However what really annoys me, is that I just walked past something I walk past almost every day and just realised it would have been almost perfect for this challenge....! In fact whilst writing this I've just thought of something else........Damn!

Just happy the number in front of the decimal point isn't a 4! I actually like this shot quite a bit but I've been out of sync with the voters in a BIG way of late, so this looks pretty good to me.
