PostLuminous Awards for Body Parts II (my choices that ribboned are not here--these are the "overlooked")

In no particular order:

all get PostLuminous Award Nomination!

And, the PostLumie goes to....
PostLuminous Award WINNER!

I voted this challenge, but didn't get around to commenting (too bad, as I've duplicated two of Don's choices; perhaps I'm superfluous here). In any event, since Don hasn't posted his yet, here are mine:

Ribbons are in development (I tried once, but they weren't great; will try again). Done!

/edited to add/ These are for "Story Teller" images; I had a couple of images rated higher in score than these, but they were just images that touched me. Each of these caused me to think in stories. So that's my, um, story. /end edit/

and severely underrated, IMO. YES, it did very well, I just thought the creativity deserved an even higher placing!

I gave out a LOT of 10's in this challenge, to choose the top 3 that I liked the best would be very difficult, i added a lot as my faves because they are artistic and creative; but i'm really rather surprised by there being 1's and 2's on some sharp- in focus- and fitting to the challenge images, with great lighting, etc... and no explanations of 'why' or what they used as a formula to give such a 'low score' ?

personally i like the challenge in and of itself- its interesting to see the differences of opinions, but I wonder if some people are intentionally voting low to lower other peoples scores? otherwise why not put in your 2 cents as to what made you lean towards 'bad' vs 'good' on the scale?

just random thoughts.. - rather sad to see some photographs that I think of as great images way far back on pages very lowly scored :( maybe i'm a bad critique? but if thats the case... why are most of the scores on those images towards the higher-side of the scale or middle-higher? heh... stream of consciousness...

There are *a lot* of threads discussing this issue. Take a look under "Challenge Results"

i figured the fact he was working on a fist similarly shaped was interesting for the challenge since it was art reflecting art in a sense ;) that...and there is a fist in the background too.... 3 hands 1 img.. 1 real hand *heh* :-D quirky me

I realize why this didn't win a ribbon - but I think if the ring was taken off, the score would have jumped.
