No yellow: too many to choose from, but all those choices have already been selected by others in this thread.

Thankyou; if it hadn't been for Don's interfering, I would also have achieved the coveted 'no comments' accolade. Quite disappointed, to have missed so narrowly. |

I've been gone for a week, so this was a pleasant surprise to come back to. Thanks Deb!

In addition to the images noted earlier, these are images from the Free Study that I think highly of, and scored overall lower than I would have expected.

all get the PostLuminous Award Nominee!
And I find this to be particularly luminous and subtly lovely:
(maybe I should invent the PostLuminous Award?)
And the PostLumie goes to....

updated with award "ribbons"

LOL--I can barely make an image! Have no idea where to start on an icon. Don't wanna hijack your thread though, sir. (imitation = flattery, though) |

Don't sweat, it is not Don's thread; actually, De Sousa started it and everybody is invited to post his favorites. |

That's true, but I have been granted certain limited ruler-smacking privileges, so don't get cocky... |

Just wanted to acknowledge some of my favs from Led Zep challenge that did not make it very high in the final standings:
If there is a photo that can capture the "Stairway to Heaven" than this is it... So many things going on that I can't quite explain, much like our own life and struggle for the Stairway. At the same time tormenting, promising, confusing. My choice for Red ribbon.
Obviously it all starts with the great expression, piercing gaze and the tilted head that works very well. But also, very good B&W conversion, the vignetting works well and even an unusual border that works. My choice for the Yellow ribbon.
This is my favorite "In my time of dying" photo in this challenge, and there have been a few. Walking into the strong light, out of the clutter of this hallway... I like the interpretation a lot. Good contrast, silhouette is well defined and very good visual "punch".
Max points for idea and set-up, very expressive and spot-on, captures a feeling and a state of mind so well. This is what a photo should be all about.
Very good motion, the whole image feels "alive" with movement and life.
The symmetry and the repetition of the pattern work so well in this image. It makes it simple, yet somehow complete. It is a bridge that you can see one looking for, because it just seems suspended somewhere in space... The yellow cast gives it an old, and rather timeless look. |

It's not in the rulebook. This was a backroom decision made by superdelegates. |

Superdelegates, huh? Multiple Personalities paired with Narcisstic Complex - I'm afraid there is no cure for you. |

I promise to buy your first work if you trade your camera for a typewriter. |

Thank you, Nikolaos! It may not have been a high scoring image, but I had it on my desktop all week last week and truly enjoyed seeing it every day. Glad you liked it as well. |

I can't work out of that is encouraging or disparaging. Nice one. |

Nah, he has to keep the camera because I believe it's shared with another very talented photog who will need it to take the picture for the dust jacket. |
