Gorgeous image. Really stood out to me. Very cool to see this familiar rocks in a different and foggy way (I thought this was Indian Beach until I read your comments). Nice composition.

This was my favorite image in this Challenge. Really liked the processing on this, but especially liked the 'feel' with the dog looking out into the harsh ocean and those wild and windswept trees on the rocks/cliff face. For me this Challenge was primarily about matching the feel of an image with that of the song, and in this, I think you did it very well.

Its a black dog. Down by the seaside. But there's no mama to watch that's making me sweat or groove! Which is just to say there ain't no connection to the song. Nice B+W image, tho, and I'll give ya props for the dark, edgy feel which is kinda Led Zeppish

9 - Ohh.. this suits the song well... Well done. Nice image, really like the feel. Shame (maybe) he/she can't be a little further in frame - but likely change the whole dynamics.

I like the square crop and the disregard of the rule of thirds to make an effective composition. The fog adds to the mystique.

This is the best of the "Black Dog" photos, it's not too cheesy and it has a dark feel to it. This dog reminds me of "The Grim" in Harry Potter... :)

I like this scene. It has a hurry-up, let's get out of this weather feel to it. The background fog and water motion blur are very nice. The dog has an issue or two...one could be seen as negative or positive, depending...that's having him/her looking out of the frame. Adds tension, like what's out there that's grabbing the dog's attention? On the potential negative side it (the dogs gaze) directs the view immediately out of the frame, rather than across. Also seeing some sharpening artifacts, particularly the back leg and far right side area.

All JMO of course. :-) Good luck in the challenge.

This works pretty well with the lyrics, I think, which have nothing to do with a black dog, but apparently with depression. Seems the song was titled after a black dog that wandered through/by the studio when they were recording.

Like the mist and water and how the background fades into the mist. The dog is just OK, there is a fuzzy hump that keeps drawing my attention and I spend more time looking at that hump than taking in the whole photo.

I love the composition. Too bad there can't be any more detail on the dog, but trust me, I know. I have a solid black one myself.

One of my three favourite pictures in the challenge. A very different and appealing interpretation of 'Black Dog' (even though I suspect the dog may not really be black in real life, but who cares it is in this image). Very nice composition with a lovely diagonal leading line. Excellent and atmospheric B&W conversion which suits the subject well - 9
