His face is full of life in there, I love that smile.

I really liked this challenge, there where a lot of fine images there. Maybe the challenge theme helped... anyway.

I agree - this is outstanding :)

Ok so I decided to create some icons (based on Qart's YankO shot)

Just wanted to say that this was my favourite for the Led Zep competition:

I love the "squareness" of it. It leads the eye across the top then holds you in the photo with the bar of rocks on the left. Great.

Go, Yank-O's! I missed the Tuesdays, but I already have my Sunday picks. I'll be on vacation, but I'll try to get on-line to post them Monday. (which is looking to be an Ed Clarke day!)

A blue ribbon for this?! This image still haunts me - especially when I hear a bump in the night. "OH NO!-is Timfy in that tutu yet again?!" I think Alan deserves some sort of badge of courage for posting this frightening image on his profile and being subjected to this "honor".

LOL Aimee.......it's not the Tutu that's the problem....it's the socks and shoes! *grin*

(Get the poor man a pair of ballerina slippers to match, will ya?! *wink*)

well, the sprog woke me up 45 minutes ago, and can't get back to sleep. so, may as well do this now...

these were my lowest placing highest votes. and, as usual, they was robbed...

skewsme (10) stunning, funny and dark, and requiring thought and prior knowledge from the viewer. recipe for dpc failure and posthumous success. seeing as she's married to him...

colorcarnival (9) i know this actually did very well, but it's just so lovely, how could it not have? very irving penn.

pointandshoot (8) just wonderful - the headless goat. the light and tones in this are beautiful.

edit 'cause i can't type...

Hopefully my new computer arrives tomorrow (but probably later in the week :-( ), and then I'll be able to edit photos again, and thus enter more challenges .... just in the hope that I will eventually receive one of these
, of whatever colour. Yes, that's my next ambition seeing that I already have a genuine Posthumous ribbon. ;-)

Multiple Personalities paired with Narcisstic Complex

Ah, maybe there is hope for me to become a novelist after all!

Or you're perfectly qualified to be Prime Minister/President/politician ;)

On a more serious note, if there's lots of people who want reward creativity and artistic endeavour with awards, why not see if it can be integrated properly into DPC? (apologies if this has been asked or suggested before). Something relatively easy to implement but that recognises these user awards - perhaps a User Award medal section underneath DPC Ribbons in the User Profile awards (i.e. Ribbons, Hon Mentions, Brown, then User Awards). Users with awards would need to submit their artwork for their awards something like quarterly (to save frequent updates/admin) for inclusion.

I think it's quite a nice idea because it addresses one of the current hot topics at DPC - rewarding artisty without radical changes to the "winning formula". Anyhow, I'll copy this to a thread in Website Suggestions rather than here, so reply over there rather than clutter up this thread with thoughts...
