I'm quietly following along and have a few quick questions - what's a .png file and how do you a) work with one, b) create one? If I have some odd texture-type shots to share, did I see somewhere that a library was created to stick them in? And how would I prepare those for sharing - size, type, etc?
Keep up the awesome and inspiring work, people! I may try one or two. |

Deb I think I will let someone with more experience answer most of your questions but I can help you with one!

Everyone else you sure have been busy while I have been away! I think I will spend the next day catching up on comments and then start overlaying after that ;) |

Yes! My thoughts exactly. We have a Texture Library, a Texture Gallery, and an Overlay Gallery - the next logical step is to have a challenge that will allow the incorporation of filters. The art here in this thread is just amazingly inspiring and beautiful. Just imagine what a challenge would look like. |

I took this old image:

and turned it into this - with Perfectum, xero Porcelain, Virtual Photographer soft filter and nik efex Midnight.
I overlayed with this filter. It's a photo of water pooling next to a pier leg - the ripples in the sand and in the water were amazing - I took a bunch of these and turned them into filters:
This is the result:

Amen, dude. I suggested it but expert editing has been pretty much canned, so we can just have these fun side challenges. |
