Holes scare me to death, it doesnt matter if it is a hole in the ground, a hole in a piece of paper, all holes freak me out. |

I have multiple pituitary hormone disorder. Basically my pituitary gland does not function. This affects growth and metabolism among other things. Been on medication for it since I was 8.

I love to wash dishes (been doing it since is was 5). I'm a favourite dinner guest as a result....
I really hate working with food in someone else's kitchen - both preparation and put away.
I live on bread and canned or boxed goods because I don't like to cook. Not too healthy I know.
I eat cheese whiz and jam (strawberry or other) on my pancakes instead of butter and syrup.
When I was 10, I was completely grossed out by the grainy texture on a slice of roast beef. Don't know why.
I also do not like to sleep in an un-made bed.
I like to dig weeds on my lawn but hate weeding the flower beds.

1) I am creatively impaired. Both of my parents are professional artists...and I cannot even draw a stick figure...
2) I'm afraid of statues
3) I cannot cook (unless it goes in the microwave), but I can fix your computer...;-) |

My nose sweats when I eat anything with ketchup
You can pull my hair as hard as you want it doesn̢۪t hurt me
I ALWAYS use a shoehorn to put on my shoes â€Â¦I was told that’s odd, but I don’t see it that way
I savor a good chocolate bar for days on end
I can’t sit and eat a whole meal – it’s too much food for one sitting, so I am not the best restaurant companion.
â€Â¦.these oddities have been pointed out to me

Another one - I can't stand running water on my face. I don't know how anyone can stand in a shower with the spray directly on their face.

Oooooh we're very similar in our M&M oddities. Except that after grouping them, I eat the one with the most until they're all equal and then I alternate.
Oh and another one: I love to butter my bread and then salt it.
And another: I am compelled to sort my paperclips by size.

This is fun. Reading these reminds me of more.
I too, hear the high pitched sound of electronic devices that are on, but not turned up. I've been told I have super sensitive hearing, which might account for all of my audio related quirks.
Fluorescent lights bother me to the point of sickness. I literally get dizzy and queasy when I go into stores.
Strobe lights make me feel as though I'm going to have a seizure. The ones on top of school buses are so distracting that I must pass them in order to see properly.
There is a texture that illicits a violent reaction from me. It is that of synthetic materials with tiny ridges, such as some restaurant booths and vacuum cleaner cords. Touching this texture or hearing someone drag their skin across it is literally traumatic for me.
Edit: Oh, and I hear voices too. I hear unintelligible conversations and/or music in the oscillating hum of ACs, fans etc. I also have heard my name called numerous times when no one was around.

I can write or print backwards with my left hand.
But I can't read it without a mirror. |

I absolutely love thunderstorms when someone is with me, but when I am alone, I am terrified of them. |

couple more:
I cant stand folding paper and running my finger along the paper to make sure its a perfect fold (I need to use an object to make the fold fingers wont do).. hearing someone else pinch their fingers and slide them on paper also makes me go crazy.. I cringe and my tummy gets all tight .. (terrified of paper cuts i think)
I love doing laundry.. but I HATE folding and putting it away.. Sorting, Washing and drying is awesome.. clean laundry smells amazing.. but I detest putting it away or folding.

made me think of more, too:
Native of Tampa, FL (lightning capital of the US, I think) and LOVE thunderstorms.
Can read / write upside, backwards, etc.... unless a pretty woman is across the table from me ;)
Nothing better than cooking a good meal with / for friends, but absolutely hate cleanup.

Yeesh, that's weird. :-/ |
That's not weird at all... I do that, and I also fold my socks and my underwear, and my shoes are sorted out by colour and all face towards the front.

OMG! I love you guys! I thought I was the only one - and my b/f thinks I might be crazy, but he's okay with that.
And thanks to whoever included the exploding head link! I don't have that, but I found a link to the sleep starts - I get a sense of falling that ends with a bright flash of light when I first start to doze off. It doesn't bother me, but I've also had extreme insomnia since I was little and I've learned that if that doesn't happen, I might as well forget sleeping for the night.
I also have a split nail that grows that way and have been told there's no fixing it. Now I wear acrylics to prevent it from tearing all the time.
Until I was in highschool, my pinky toenails would fall off every couple of weeks. |

That's a great idea!
Here's something odd about me:
I feel that each letter and number (1-9) has a gender:
1 is female, 2 is male, 3 is male, 4 is female, etc...
a is female, b is female, c is male, etc...
I can't explain why each one is the gender it is, I just "know" it.
I don't know why, but I suspect this probably has something to do with some book having anthropomorphic letters/numbers when I was learning them as a small child. At least, that's what I tell myself to make me feel better. |
That's interesting - and it reminded me of another one of my 'oddities': for me, numbers have colors. But they aren't fixed. So a 3 may be powder blue by itself, but in the number 35, it's chartreuse and the five is orange, where by itself it's red. I don't think about it, it just is that way, thus I don't consider it to be odd... |

1. I have 20/13 vision. I see lines everywhere since I was kid. Usually I connect different points in a room or where the sun's line hits over a horizon to some place on the road and where that angle is how it would bounce away. Any few points in a room. I used to play a lot of pool and I could always "see" where to hit one ball to make a shot. Probably helps with photo taking too.
2. If I set my alarm, I have to check it after I have gotten in bed, even if I know I set it. Its not next to my bed so I have to get up.
3. I sleep with a T-shirt over my eyes, doesn't matter how dark it is. This is only for when I sleep at night, naps don't matter. :P
4. When I shower, I have to have a towel hanging to wipe the water/shampoo from my eyes. When I swim in the ocean/pools I could care less.
5. Once in awhile I have that thing that Achoo was talking about when I lay in bed and here a loud noise in my head.
6. I don't drink coffee. |
