		Soft Focus

I cheated this week, and just picked out from the thumbnails. Sorry, but I just couldn't bring myself to look at a hundred fuzzy flowers. Anyway, these photos leapt out at me:

   to cutout for

   to Mephisto for

   to HollyLay for |

		Free Study

I love free studies! This one had more great photos than I had ribbons, but I settled on these stunners... and all of them just happened to be underrated photos by three of the best photographers on the site. I love when I do that! :D

   to xianart for

My Half challenge top three of those I scored highly that didn't finish in the top 20 (though I did indeed give a 10 to the DPC blue ribbon winner - absolutely perfect for the challenge AND a well thought out executed shot with a bit to think on as well.)

I'm all over Don's choice of this for a ribbon. I am completely stunned by how this wonderful and unique image fared so poorly in the voting.

 But then.......that's why we're here, isn't it?

 What a wonderful photograph!

I guess it's all question of perspective... Being in the top 16% is not what I would consider "Doing Poorly".

		| Exactly. I know plenty of guys who can't even buy a 6.3 on this site, no matter how good their image. |

		| Nothing personal intended to anyone - let's keep this thread as a place to post your top three non-top-vote-getting (usually) choices for a challenge but not an indepth discussion of what scores well and what doesn't. I know that sounds dichotomous (and doubt that's a word) but I enjoy just looking at the pretty pictures. :-) |

Thanks Robert and Tate. And thanks to Deb for pointing out this outstanding photo:

It is one of my top 10 all time favorites at DPC. I think anyone who is owned by a cat would especially appreciate the "slothiness" that Rachel's model portrays.
