Great use of light, love the detail and curved lines and fabulous subject - definately under rated. |

You couldn't have done better in a studio set-up for the lighting. Everything here works for me: zoo person showing a little teeth to mirror the mighty tusked walrus - joyful and majestic. |

Why this isn't waaaaaay further up the scale is completely beyond my comprehension. This is just such an amazing image! I just love everything about it......the lighting, the detail, the setting is just so incongruous, yet intimate in its own special way......severely underrated. |

Why this shot is a TEN:
-I've never seen a walrus look like that before, with his head so well defined and personified.
-a mirroring between person and walrus, but something more profound than a mere fat joke, though it's that, too, but not a derisive one, perhaps because the walrus is so noble.
-the beautiful mist of water drops like falling stars
and those are also the reasons this gets a Posthumous Yellow Ribbon.

Wowser - how big is that Walrus ?? I love the red 'S' shape generated by the hose - the clarity of the water droplets and the David and Goliath look between the two main subjects.
I even like the fact that both of them appear to be smiling to each other. |

this is a wonderful photo. Still, I think if cropped vertical with just the hose head showing, it get almost magical. |

What a fun photo! This would be a great advertisement for the zoo it was taken at. The water might be a ttad oversharpened, but I think I almost like it that way. Good lighting. I hope you do well in the challenge. 10 |

I am thinking that cropping the worker out might make this better - 8 |

The water drops really make this shot interesting. I think a closup of the walrus would be an interesting alternate shot. |

The neat thing about this, other than the way the water spray is lit, which is very cool, is the sense or proportion this gives to the walrus - those are very big creatures! I like the way the light is on the whiskers and tusks, too. |

What a great photojournalism type capture. The drops are beautifully rendered here. |

A good pic of zoo life. Too much shadow on the front of the woman with the hose. But, you work with the lighting you have on something like this. |
