I'm doing a project that would involve saving photos to my computer and showing them to friends in connection with a game we'd be playing - no commercial aspect, no images doing anything outside of my computer.
The photos I'm looking for are of humans looking "inhuman" or "monstrous". The mood that I'm going for would be gothic / horror / etc. I don't want too much blood but some would definitely be okay (see below). If things are photoshopped, I would *greatly* prefer that the results look realistic. Heavily processed with grunge, weird colors, etc is fine, just if someone has three eyes, five arms, or a nose in the middle of their forehead, I want it to look real.
An example: There was one picture I saw just tonight that looked like a man with a scary featureless mask on, and a comment that said they weren't sure if that was latex or photoshopping or whatever, but it looked awesome. (It scared me so I left the page quickly, totally forgetting that it would be perfect for what I need, so if you know the one, please share the link!)
Other examples:
Close-up photos with mouths photoshopped out
People with inhuman eyes
Photos where darkness (used for "mood" or "effect") obscures someone where you aren't sure what is going on or what they look like, but you can easily infer that they may be "inhuman" looking.
A demonic looking child.
and I'm sure that is just the tip of the iceburg.
Not good:
People who look normal, even if they're doing bad things
Too much blood - please NO blood spatters or bashed in heads
Anything with hurting or scaring children
Posting pictures - if they're your own, make sure you're comfortable with the project, and if not, please note that in your post so I can ask the photographer for permission first.
I'd love to comment on all the pics as a way of saying thanks, but I get scared, so I might not make it past the thumbnails... :-)
Thanks!!

From your description I have no idea if this is applicable or not but it looks pretty scary to me.
What are you doing this for?

Ahhh scary scary :-)
That actually falls under the not good, as the people look normal.
Their features are distorted but they are clearly human looking.
I hope all this makes sense...
I'm running a one-shot roleplaying game and I thought visuals might be helpful for the players. |

erm... it makes sense, just seems a bit of a weird request...
Can't you just put masks on people and then photoshop them or something? You want people to look inhuman, but don't it to look fake; this might be quite a problem, unless some people have some pictures like this lying around but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Doesn't have to look *too* non-fake.
I'm actually looking for examples now and finding some good ones:

Actually yeah.
Forget the fake thing.
It can look fake, that's fine :-) |

Haha, I think I should sort of retract my request and just look through the "digital art" gallery! |

Gotta get 'hold of Simms.....
This is just about one of the most inhuman humans I've ever seen!
Most importantly......he wrote a "How'd they do that?" for the technique.

We love humans... especially ones with little extra pounds. It is very common we enjoy seeing dead... I mean healthy human around to company us.
Now I must go again, this thread made me hungry.
-Hey you there, with glasses. Come and look what I have in this big oven... |

There is a former challenge winner that is absolutely scariest freakin' clown I've even seen. I won't go look for it because I promised I wouldn't ever look at it again after it got off the home page.
Don't know if anything like that is what you want, but that thing was . . . |

LOL, it was that you just couldn't get the wrinkles out of that background no matter how much you ironed it? Ya, I have that dream too...
