Cool challenge...but can we have a spell check please?
Challenge Details: Take a photo of something, but only have of your subject can be visible in the photo.

Yeah, you'd think that a multi-million dollar corporation such as DPChallenge.com could get its act together. Unless,of course, they're cleverly trying to manipulate us into yet another DNMC controversy. |

I can already see the controversy, even IF the description were spell-checked to "half", which I am sure it soon will be:
We've all seen that mirror phenomenon where you stand at right angles to the end of a free-standing mirror so half your body is behind it, and someone viewing the mirror from an angle will see your "whole body" except it is mirrored halfs, right? Where you can lift your leg and the whole figure leaves the floor?
So riddle me this: does a shot of that phenomenon meet the challenge? You can still only see half the body, you just see it twice and it looks like a whole body...
DNMC or no DNMC? Let the wars begin :-)

Okay, Robert, I'll bite. Yep, meets the challenge. In fact, the first thought I had was putting something on a mirror. :)

But is the mirror half full or half empty?

Right! For once can we all just submit something that is half. Not half of half of something...just enjoy the challenge for a change!
No more bitching.

But what if it is 1/3 of something? DNMC??
1/3 is 1/2 of something, right? It's half of 2/3.

How about a picture of you and your wife with half of you cut off and half of her cut off?
"My better halves" |

Umm, you're probably OK unless your wife is a guy or an ass.

Here's my prediction--the majority of the entries will be all-too-common half-portraits, either shot that way or cropped to fit the challenge. :-(

Do you reckon somebody somewhere is painstakingly trying to cut a flower in half? ;-) |
