one of many shots, i took during this week of bjoessi (thanks to your patience, dude!).

converted from raw (with the cs2 converter), curves, selective colors, selective shadows/highlight adjustments, a garadient map layer on hard light mode, some dodging and burning and at last resizing, smart sharpening and saving for web
hope it does a little better than my previous entries...
(even if the background is a little tilted, i know...)

I did almost the same thing. My date was almost 2 years off, and it was for a blue ribbon.

Oh well, ya live and learn.

yea i know man. sorry on the DQ.
i was affraid my cameras date wasnt
set right after the voting was going on.
then i made sure because i never checked
it. yours is an awsome photo too. better

Great capture.

He seems to be crying, don't know if that is what you wanted.

Image does look like it is falling over, might have been to straightened the horizontal from the road(?).

I think this is a wonderful photo of both portrait as well as landscape. Very interesting! And his eyes (well I guess, eye,) are piercing against the the neutrals of the photo. Love it! 10!

You might get yelled at for it, but I like the sharpness here. For the subject matter, it really works. His eye color, strangely enough, is what I like most about this. It's a lovely contrast to the warm tones in the rest of the image.

This is an astonishing shot, that I found immensely impactful and interesting. I worry that you're going to get penalised for the off-level horizon. However, the colours are great - I particularly like the match between the figure and the field. Having him half off the camera is a particularly bold statement - that for this person, the mountain is as important as half his face. Superb job.
