Normal rules apply except that any photo taken in 2003 can be submitted.
Run it the last week of December but let people start submitting any time in December (a lot of people are on vacation the last week).
Would be fun for everyone to show off their best work from the year.

I agree that would be great Would give us a chance to use one of the Photo when we were out of town

Restriction: may not use a photo previously entered on dpc.
(otherwise it's a best of the challenge winners contest)

This is a wonderful idea. Difficult to vote, though, with what would certainly be a bunch of absolutely great shots. And how to choose a submission???
Anyone care to hazard a guess how may submissions there would be for this one? My guess is 380.

| I think it's an excellent idea also... 'anonymity' would be a bit difficult though, but it wouldn't really matter.... |

great idea! i'm for it. would be great for the site too, to have all of those great shots up for sale as prints.

I like the additional rule that you can't have submitted it before just to ensure variety and creativity.
And you can all call it "Tammy's Challenge" in honor of the founder. ;) |

Although now that I think about it, if a previous submission was indeed your best work of the year it would be a pity not to be allowed to enter it. And with additional time to Photoshop or recreate the idea it might not be the exact same shot anyhow...

Oddly, I was thinking along the same lines today - but wondering if there was some way to have a 'best of challenge photos' kind of thing. Can't think of a way through the minefields though - the fact that not all (or even most) voters have been here all year, you can't just do it on scores because of challenge topics. How about everyone selects their best shots and we all choose a favourite ten, then the most selected shot is the winner? Don't think that works either ...
But it's a cool idea.

I like the idea - but it should be restricted to shots not previously submitted in a challenge, otherwise it just turns into best of the previous winners.
And it would be interesting to see what shots folks have taken which didn't fit into challenges.

I think I can participate on this, since I am too busy to catch-up on weekly-basis contests.
Lets hear from the Admins on what they think on this. |

This is wonderful idea. I hope this gets accepted by the admins. Tiny bit of spot editing would be nice too !! (I am not even going there after "the future" fiasco).
